These are excellent mounts for your camera. I’ve purchased multiple mounts to film time-lapse videos of plants growing, and when tightened, they are very stable and can hold large equipment comfortably. The joints do not start slipping over time, which is important when you need the camera to stay in exactly the same position for a long period. These mounts are light enough to carry with you anywhere, but hefty enough to inspire confidence when holding expensive camera gear. Each joint also gives you excellent versatility in mounting your camera however you need, sideways, upside down, or at any angle; these mounts handle it. I will advise you to be mindful of what you attach the mount to. I tightened the clamp a little too much around the wooden shelf in the photo, and it left marks. It wasn’t a big deal for me since I’d rather have marks on a shelf than risk my camera moving or falling during shooting, but it’s worth keeping in mind when mounting these yourself. Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons, especially for the price. If you need a solid, versatile, do-anything mount, this is your product. BUY!

I am using this mount to hold a Panasonic GH3 m4/3 camera for recording video demonstrations of a work surface from above. The mount's rubber-grip claws are fastened around the edge of a shelf, which holds the whole kit securely. The arm articulation is agile enough to move around at all kinds of odd angles until the camera's view is oriented the way I need it, and once tightened, it generally stays put. All in all, it's a useful problem-solver to have in your toolbox. So that's the good. Here's the not-so-good: 1) I'm not a photography expert, so maybe it's obvious to some of you what all these attachments do, but it's definitely not obvious to me. Even a simple diagram of how the various pieces fit together would be SO helpful. As it stands, I know one of them is for hooking on to the camera's flash mount. One of them looks like a claw for thicker flat surfaces (like a countertop, maybe?) The hinge pieces and the long screw? No idea what to do what that. 2) The one attachment I really wish this came with is a quick-release mount for the 1/4" threaded end you would attach to your camera or LCD monitor. I got this thing in place, got the shot lined up the way I wanted it, then realized I needed to change SD cards. I had to undo ALL of it to get to the SD card slot, then put it all back in place. Unscrewing the camera from the 1/4" mount while the arm is in place is ten times more tedious than just setting up your articulation from scratch, though. Either way, it's a 5-minute job for what a quick-release could do in 1 second. Doing this once was enough to convince me I needed to pursue a better mounting solution. 3) The entire thing is locked down with a single knob. This knob not only sets the arms, but also locks the ball mounts at the end. So, if you need to make an adjustment *anywhere*, you loosen that one knob, and the entire thing falls limp. You then have to get every moving part aligned JUST the way you want it, and tighten the one knob to lock it in place. Which never works out exactly, of course, so you have to tighten it MOST of the way, and strong-arm that last 5% adjustment. Not a great design. You will find yourself wanting to weak it just a little, and then thinking.. nah, not worth the effort. I'll just crop it in post. 4) The ball mounts at the end don't actually lock completely. They don't *move*, but they can *rotate* in place. This means, if your camera exerts any uneven weight in a way that causes the ball mount to rotate in its grip, it will do just that. I ended up with a shot that inadvertently panned slowly across my work surface from left to right this way. Tightening more can reduce this, but it doesn't seem to completely eliminate it. After all, this mount is what it is. It's useful, but more than likely you will get so fed up with its faults that you will go buy a more expensive mount that is designed for people that need to get things done in the real world. It's cheap enough that I don't necessarily regret purchasing it, since I'm sure I'll need a quick fix band-aid solution for something, and I'll be willing to suffer the inconvenience to get the job done. But as a primary mount? No, just spend the money to get something better.

Fantaseal has done it again matching brilliant innovation with a high quality product. This mount is insanely durable for the price and what it is. I've had mounts that used these joints, but none came close to just how strong this one is. Past mounts couldn't handle sudden forces or bumps when secured at the ball joints. However this one took some serious elbow grease from me trying to force it to move when tightened! The meshed teeth design for the arms were out of the question in terms of budging. Once tightened down, I couldn't move it with all my force! 10/10 for strength of this mount. In regards to the accessories, I absolutely love the Super Clamp and the high torque screws! The clamp has no wiggle in it and has a nice rubber padding on the clamp side. There's a wide angle that it can reach that can fit most reasonable objects for clamping to. Fantaseal's torque screws are one of the many reasons I love them. The torque screws let you really....well...torque down the screw much easier than a regular gripped screw. Finally, the phone mount has another innovative design that makes it even more versatile! The rubber tab at the end makes it very easy to pull the bar up to slide in the phone. What makes the adapter so unique though, is that this one has an adjustment screw to make the adapter extend wider incase your phone is just a bit too large. A great idea that solves a common problem! This mount is another great product from Fantaseal. I am yet to be let down by their products and am always certain that it will be a quality piece of equipment for a great price. If you are commonly on the move recording or struggle finding a way to mount your camera around a rounded object, this is a great option that I would highly recommend. Definitely get your money's worth!

Using this with a Canon 70D and an EF-S 18-135mm lens, it's clearly designed for a lighter load. While the description states that the arm can handle a maximum load far exceeding that of my camera and lens, I did not find this to be the case in practice. The rubber pads on the clamp wore out in the first 24 hours of being attached to my desk. By the next day, the camera had fallen off the desk and onto the floor. Lucky for me, I use cheap gear. Discarding the clamp, I tried using this with just the tripod attachment. This has so far proven to be a bit more stable, but it still sags quite a bit and has to be frequently adjusted and retightened, plus the need to attach it to a tripod makes it much less versatile. For the money, I expected something much better, but I would personally value this at around $10-$15. I will say that the bonus cell phone adapter could be handy, and may be a nice selling point for some, with its own value of around $5. Altogether, I would not pay more than $25 for any such product in the future and would likely only use it for lighter cameras, not a DSLR.

I bought these to attach these to a car headrest, to film the dash board. This arm did not work for that as the clamp is made for something that is at least 3/4" diameter. But that is my problem of not checking the specs. That said, I use this thing all the time. The clam is pretty solid and holds securely to the surface it can clamp to. I love how the whole thing becomes flaccid once you undo the thumb screw. But more importantly how strongly it holds in the place you aimed it after you snug that screw tight. I use it with a selfie ring light to light up around the area where I work such as under the car or in the engine bay. I also use it to film things with my phone or camera as well. I am very happy with this magic arm.

I could see that this product would support the miniature cameras like a GoPro, but I wasn't sure it would support something heavier like a Sony Handicam HDR SR12. However, it seems to do a fine job. You do have to be picky about how you align the arms. I find it works best if I place the arms in a "V" shape, with the clamp at the top of one arm of the "V" and the camera at the top of the other arm. If you want to extend the arms straight out from the clamp, horizontal to the ground, that won't work. But the "V" shape allows me to clamp the arm to a fixture on the wall and then support my camera about 5 or 6" from the wall. I've had no problems maintaining this configuration for 4 hours or more. The screw on the end of the arm fits the screw hole on my Handicam perfectly. No additional mounting hardware is needed. Note that there is only a single adjustment knob located in the center where the two small arms meet. Loosening this loosens all the joints in the device and, of course, tightening it locks all the joints in place (except for the clamp.) This is a very handy design since you can pretty much position the camera, hold it in place with one hand and tighten the knob with the other hand to lock everything in place. All in all, I find it very useful and well worth the money. It is a precise bit of mechanism. I also own the Neewer 11"/28cm Adjustable Friction Power Articulating Magic Arm and Large Super Clamp Crab Pliers Clip. For my money, there isn't any difference between the two devices. I use them both interchangeably and would suggest buying whichever of the two you can obtain most economically. I would definitely buy either of these items again.

The phone holder portion is spring-loaded, with a firm EVA-style foam lining to grip the device. However, this part feels more brittle than the rest of the build and may not withstand drops. The screw adapters appear to be brass-colored, possibly to prevent wear over time, but we'll see with use. There’s no instruction manual, so figuring out which screw fits what will take a bit of trial and error. It came with multiple adapters (possibly three for GoPro or similar use), which adds flexibility, but again, no labels or clear guide. A microfiber cloth is also included — a nice extra for cleaning lenses or screens. ✅ PROS: – Solid metal construction where it matters – Flexible with multiple mounting options (phone, GoPro, DSLR, etc.) – Butterfly joint locks tightly and holds position well – Includes foam padding and extra strips for protection – Comes with a lens-cleaning cloth ✅ CONS: – Packaging is minimal and loose — risk of losing parts on opening – No included carrying pouch or organizer for the many small parts – Phone mount feels a bit brittle — caution if dropped – No instruction manual makes initial setup unclear – No clearly marked threading sizes or labeling on parts ✅ Final notes: Best for semi-permanent setups or studio use where you won’t be moving it often — unless you get your own pouch or case to store all parts. Just know that figuring out which adapter fits your gear may take some experimenting. Once set up, it performs well and holds gear in place securely.

Suppose to support a 10 lbs 4.5kg loads it doesn't.... might on a static mount. Tried to use this morning on a mobility scooter 10km/hour on a smooth flat sidewalks, no matter how much the locking nut is tightened it keeps slipping and moving, the gimbal and phone weight is 0.7 kg yes only 700grams 1.6 lbs, 16% of maximum weight. Might work for a static mount but not if any vibration or movement of mount. Wanted to use in a car Really not good enough I am asking for a refund.

Had some difficulty adjusting the base and camera mount ball joints. But learned accidentally that releasing the tension at the arm centre the other 2 points rotated freely. I was able to maneuver camera and arm into the position I wanted with ease. The centre pivot on the arm is notched which is much better than the friction fit I see in other models. Kit is loaded with mounting options. Only wish that the 3 sport camera mounts were different from each other.
