GameSir Cyclone 2 Wireless PC Controller,1000Hz,TMR Joysticks

Alright first off, good price. I like not having to spend more then I have too. Two I watched a lot of reviews and there was a competitor out there in the 8BitDo Ultimate 2. But this one won me over. I know both get flack, both have some very bad reviews about breaking and whatnot Just got this and it works. Now what I like about it! The dock is a standing dock and the set and charge is pretty snappy. The controller feels good for my large hands and I don't notice anything really jutting out or feeling cheap. Button presses are nice and clean and it isn't as clicky as other controllers I have used in the past. It also has software you can get for programming the thing and it shows response time and lag if any. I wasn't out for a whole lot of bells and whistles with this. Vibration check, instant connect without much drop, double check, comfort all the checks. It also charges pretty fast too. When I set it up it was at 30% and within the hour and a bit more it was fully charged. Or well it seemed charged anyways. You can set up a sort of turbo mode or something and set the shoulder buttons to a hair trigger. Biggest selling point for me. Easy as Heck set up. Plugged in the dock to my pc, his X and the I guess home button held them for 3 seconds. Instant connection. It does have Bluetooth for like phones and things and that was B and Home. I forgot my PC has both but it didn't register the Bluetooth for me so guide led me to the other option. What I don't like: The manual for it is basically a folded up map, coulda just made a booklet but that's a nitpick! Buttons do seem a little stiff and so to the thumb sticks. I don't use the D-Pad often so I really can't say if it's good or bad. But I'm sure it can be adjusted and broken in given time. Edit here: You can kind of adjust the tension in the thumb sticks, had to look that up. Got it where it is comfortable for me without loosing the crisp snap of centering. Only gripe I had really other then that stuff was Lack of visual options. Unique looks. You get Black and RGB Red or White with RGB gold. But black and red was fine so meh. All and all I am happy with it, I can ditch the corded X-box controller I'd been using and some Chinese based one that the dock and receiver for it never worked when I got it. Worth the money yes, can I say you will have the same opinion? No. Give it a go is all I can say.

Don't hesitate. Seriously. This controller is literally one of the best feeling controllers I've had in my hands in ages-- I've gone through quite a lot of controllers and unfortunately I've had to discard many of them due to them gaining stick drift after some time. Not only has this controller not drifted on me, the build quality is fantastic and the customization for the RGB lights is very nice. The lights feel bright enough to be aesthetically pleasing but the semi-transparent casing gives it more of a soft, vibrant glow which is very cool. This is my first true wireless controller and I've been avoiding wireless controllers for quite some time due to concerns with latency issues, especially in more action based games. The inputs are ridiculously responsive that it almost feels like I'm just using a wired controller. The buttons are very comfortable and aren't too loud or clacky sounding which I appreciate alot. My only concern with this controller is that if anything happens to the USB dongle, unfortunately it would render the entire controller useless, as it seems Gamesir makes every USB dongle SPECIFICALLY for the controller it comes with in box, so replacement dongles are a no-go. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with this controller and it was very comfortable to play Final Fantasy 7 Remake with on pc.

This is a great controller with the smoothest thumbsticks I've ever used. They're textured perfectly and don't seem to wear down the same way my Xbox One and Xbox Series controllers always seem to. The triggers feel perfect as well, at default the travel from neutral to full contact takes just as long as you'd expect, but it feels like you're gliding while you're doing it. The hair-trigger function feels like I'm pressing on Left or Right Click on my mouse, very nice for competitive games. The face buttons are nice too, they're nice and clicky and not "mushy" like how some controllers like the classic Xbox 360 controller does. The overall feel of the controller is fantastic as well, it's got the same weight as a regular Xbox Series controller and the texturing along the sides where your palm grips is very comfortable. After about 9 months of regular use, the right trigger has begun to mechanically "stick", as in it gets caught on itself internally somewhere. This happened while I was playing a game, with the trigger held down fully with some force. I cleaned it with a Q-tip and Isopropyl alcohol to clear any potential debris, which I wasn't expecting to find as I don't eat while using my controller to avoid this sort of thing. I didn't find anything, so I knew my suspicions of some mechanical failure was correct. I contacted GameSir support, and they fully replaced my controller! I believe you're under full warranty for a whole year, so if the controller breaks on it's own like this you can get it replaced. I will note that their support said they'd get back to me in 36 hours, but it actually took a week for me to hear back from them. Another thing I appreciate about this controller is that I'm the kind of guy that doesn't like to install proprietary party software for hardware, like RAZER Synapse etc. I have never installed the GameSir software, and I've found that everything that I've wanted to change in the controller can be done physically with buttons. For example, I can use their M-function key to dim the RGB lighting until it's turned off completely, as well as adjust the vibration intensity. Overall, I've had a great experience with this controller. As a lifelong first-party Xbox controller guy, definitely do yourself the favor and get one of these. No stick drift and quality you can feel throughout.

Let me preface this by saying I have had this controller for less than a week, and the real test will be time. I don't like writing a review after so little time with a product because those reviews often feel like they're saying "It arrived and it wasn't on fire! Five stars!" But after my long search looking for a power-user controller that goes above and beyond what first-party ones offer and ending up disappointed and returning a few of them, I feel like my search has finally come to an end (for now) with the GameSir Cyclone 2 and that warrants a review. GameSir is one of the most commonly-mentioned names when people talk about quality third-party controllers. This is my first GameSir, and though I have heard the first Cyclone fell short in a lot of ways, this successor to it lives up to the hype I hear the brand. It has an Xbox-controller shape (which I think feels better than the more parallel 8BitDo Ultimate and Switch Pro frames), the button faces and D-pad are mechanical and very easy to press without being sunken into the shell-- honestly even EASIER to press than other controllers, so it might take some time to get used to how they feel, though that's not really fault. Only two back paddles, but that's better than none, and they're fully configurable. It also something I feel is VERY important, the Cyclone 2 has trigger locks. It still offers a hair-trigger feature (where any trigger pressure registers as 100% activation), but the tactility of it just being a button can be a game-changer for some, myself included. And the way it's done is with very subtle, small levers nestled at the base of the triggers themselves, which are a little tricky to switch, but chances are if you use them you'll set them once and never touch them again so in that case it's nice they're out of the way. Things that stood out to me are how seamless it is to turn on and off when the dongle is connected. The moment it connects, Windows recognizes it instantly (it appears as a Xbox controller), but more to my surprise is this: You know how when you plug in a controller mid-game and the game has to pause a moment to recognize it? Not with this controller. As long as the dongle is in, while I was playing, every time I turned it on, the game would just pick it up instantly and seamlessly. I don't know what magic they did to achieve that, and it quite possibly is a per-game thing, so it may not be the same for you. Just something I thought I'd mention. It also has a neat feature where you can designate a button to act as a Shift key, where holding the button down changes what all the other buttons do when that button is held down, effectively doubling the number of inputs available. Very neat. The Cyclone 2 has a whole suite of features that can be configured directly on the controller itself through the Macro button, but you can do all of them AND more using the software, which is actually very quite intuitive. With the software, can bind multiple inputs to a button, keyboard inputs, mouse control, the "Shift" functions, configure deadzones, analog curves, turbo, and with four separate profiles you can switch between on the fly, it becomes quite versatile to pick up and go once you've gotten it the way you like. Speaking of pick-up-and-go, I very much like the charging stand. It has a USB input slot you can use for the dongle so it's not using up two ports, and it automatically shuts off after a bit of time when it's fully-charged or turned off. Connecting the Cyclone 2 to the Switch was no problem, and switching back and forth between it and PC is quick and simple, though not as simple as flicking a switch: you have to hold down two buttons for a couple of second, one combination to activate bluetooth and another for the Windows receiver. Once connected, it works VERY well on Switch. I could detail ALL the features, but I'll just summarize it as thus: Pros: • Easy to set up • Mechanical D-pad and face buttons • TMR joysticks (drift-resistant and accurate) which feel smooth as butter • Trigger locks • Back buttons • Seamless transition between modes • Ergonomic • Nice charging stand that can house the receiver • Software to configure it is simple to navigate • VERY configurable with macros that include keyboard and mouse inputs, turbo, profiles, Shift profile, deadzones, curves, hair trigger • Screenshot button for Switch Cons: • D-pad, while decent, isn't as nice as the Xbox Series X • Can't adjust physical joystick tension • While very Xbox-like and works wonderfully with Windows, it is NOT compatible with Xbox • Only 2 back buttons, if you care for more • Lots of on-board features, such as Switch/PC mode and profiles, require button combinations, and it can be troublesome remembering them all, so hang on to the manual • It was just released this year, so its durability has yet to be thoroughly tested Final word: I finally beat that post-game level in Rockin' Kats and the Platinum Ticket in Bayonetta 3 using this controller. I think that's a good metric which covers enough ground to know this controller is legit. Hope it lasts!

Can't say enough about GS's new flagship of controllers the C2 though is one priceless gem for any occasion. Omni compatibility. Sturder feel and responsive customizable buttons. It's a great addition to any gamers needs. The added steel charging stand is an unbeatable nice touch for the price. And overall can't complain about this controller at all. Except... 2 Cons Could just be me but • Occasional disconnects or lag • if you're not accustomed to turbo controllers like me, may be prone to accidental trigger activation which mid fight is a nightmare if you do not have the co.bination press Memorized to switch the turbo setting Off. I have to have the online instruction manual Saved in my Google bar for emergency reference because I Will forget how to use this controller every time. So yes. Accessibility could have been a bit simpler. And I personally will always prefer a full FOUR back buttons over just two but apparently we can't have everything. Unless you're willing to pay an extra $100 from high end competitors. And that is not what we are doing here. Here. We are promoting a top notch, bargain priced durable quality item. Overall worth the investment. And guaranteed to last.

If you are a fan of Xbox controllers, the GameSir Cyclone 2 is perfection. I bought this to use with the Wingman FGC2 for the PS5 because the DualSense controller is the absolute worst peripheral ever created in human history. At any rate, it works great with the FGC2 adapter, no lag at all wireless, and is buttery smooth. Please search the subreddit r/Controller for a step by step guide I wrote on how to get this controller working with the FGC2 adapter. It’s tricky unless you do a couple of very specific things. I love how the controller buttons all feel like mouse clicks, because they use very similar switches for all buttons. Having the ability to switch the triggers from analog to digital input was awesome, although I wish it had a bit more travel before it clicked, sorta like the Nintendo Switch Pro controller, but it’s still awesome for games where you need lightning fast reaction time on triggers. The battery life is awesome, and the people who are complaining about bad battery life are probably using it with brightness maxed out on RGB lightning and have vibration maxed out as well. I have ran to failure 3 times since I got it, with both vibrate and LEDs off, and get about 11 hours give or take 35 minutes. The base being a pass-through for the wireless dongle is nice if you use it for PC, it will be an all-in-one dock and take up only 1 USB port. This controller is perfect in every way, I don’t think there is anything else you could possibly want/need. Go ahead and order you one, you will be so very pleased with your purchase. Oh, and I didn’t get paid or anything for this review, I am just really frustrated with crappy controllers from Microsoft and Sony, and am so glad that GameSir is stepping up with outstanding quality and products. Last thing I will say is that the joysticks are so much softer and easier to make precise adjustments, especially compared to the 8bitDo controllers which have an insanely stiff joystick, in my opinion. My favorite controller of all time right here. It has everything: TMR sticks, trigger stops, clicky clicky mouse buttons and it feels so good. Assigning the back buttons is super easy and allows for multiple buttons at a time. Comfortable for long gaming sessions and looks great too. This is my daily driver, my favorite. I use it on PC and PS5 with the Brook Converter. If I could improve it, I'd move the button next to the left stick in a bit. It's just slightly hard to reach past the stick like that. (Or move the center button down and put that button above it, just not next to the stick) But that's being super picky. For the price, it's insanely good.

Works as intended! While the face buttons (specifically a, b, y, x) do have a 'mush' sensation, I find it more comfortable pressing (or mashing) in rapid succession over hard tactile buttons. The docking station for the controller is wonderful. Once set, it turns off/disconnects the controller from my PC automatically, to ensure the shortest time frame to charge. As soon as I lift the controller off of the station, it reconnects to my PC lightning fast. No mess, no fuss, if/and/or buts. I have yet to connect this controller to my Switch, but I'm sure that will happen eventually (I blame Crimson Desert for that). Did I mention I haven't even begun to mess with controller settings? Just used the controller straight out of the box, zero customizing. Will I tinker with these settings? Possibly in the future. Is it necessary? Unless you take your gaming seriously (which lets be honest, you should only be gaming seriously if it's making you money), absolutely not. Wonderful product overall, with a fantastic price point for the quality you get. The sticks feel very nice as well! I personally have a hard time keeping my left thumb on the left stick comfortably (due to simply sliding off until I'm using the sticks edge) but I've experienced that my whole life. Definitely not a point against the controller itself, just be aware if you have large hands this will tend to happen, alongside accidentally pressing the two back pedals (they are VERY sensitive to pressure). But since I haven't assigned those pedals to any kind of input yet, the problem is negligible. In a world filled with $70, $80, $90 standard replacement controllers, if you're looking for a slightly less expensive third-party alternative, you can't go wrong here.

In short; For the price I just can’t see how you could get a better controller. Especially when this controller is reduced it’s half the price of the G7 Pro and yet is 90% of the controller. It’s a super responsive and well-spec’d controller with hardly any negatives at the price point. I bought the white model just for a change and it looks great with the gold accents and grey thumb sticks. The ‘rough’ dimpled texture on the controller for grip is excellent, the buttons are really nice with a shallow click and the 3.5mm jack is really nice. My only negative is I wish it had lockable back buttons but I also acknowledge that if they gave this controller all the features of the G7 Pro no one would ever buy one! You can tell they’ve held back a little bit in the overall ‘quality’ when I compare it to my Tarantula Pro which feels a more premium product… But again, at a lower price point that is completely acceptable and I just can’t fault the Cyclone 2 for the price paid. If you’re unsure whether to buy one, just do it. There is no way you could possibly regret the purchase unless you have wildly unrealistic expectations. I’ll be sure to update this review if things change!

I haven't had this for very long yet but this controller is excellent. I have so many controllers (1st and 3rd party) and so far this one is my favourite. Previously my 8bitdo Ultimate was my top choice but this one has taken the crown. If PC gaming is your main focus this controller will be hard to beat. It's very comfortable to hold, similar to an Xbox controller. If you don't like the way 8bitdo controllers feel in the hand I think you'd much prefer this one. I find the 8bitdo ultimate to be comfortable but I know some people don't like the shape of them, and I do still find the Cyclone to be more comfortable. The TMR sticks are amazing, incredibly smooth and precise and should avoid stick drift issues. The buttons feel great as well with that more clicky tactile feel to them. I don't generally use back buttons but this also has 2 buttons on the back. I'm sure some people would have hoped for 4 back buttons though but the 2 that are there feel good to use. This controller also has trigger locks. There's a switch on each trigger that will change them from being standard analog triggers to clicky tactile button presses. It works great and feels nice to use. The controller also has a built in 3.5mm headphone/headset jack and it works well enough. It works in both wired and wireless mode when using the dongle (does not work when using the controller via bluetooth). It sounds good enough but it does have some noise that you can hear when the scene is completely silent. So I do wish it were a bit better but at the same time other than 1st party Xbox controllers I can't even think of another controller that has this on PC. The included dock is nice. When you pick up the controller it automatically re-connects. My only issue with this is the actual dongle itself. It's plugged into the front of the dock which is nice, but when you're not using the controller the dongle is constantly flashing to show it's not connected. If the controller dock is out of sight then that's not too bad, but if you see the dock from where you sit then it becomes extremely annoying. I've covered the dongle in electrical tape. It's stupid I had to do that, but it was simple to do and doesn't affect the signal or anything like that so good enough there I guess, but seems like a big oversight in my opinion. Other than my issue with the dongle LED, this controller is basically perfect in my opinion. It's feature rich and performs amazingly well. As long as it holds up over time (I'll update my review if it doesn't) then this controller is a no brainer, it's just so good for it's price.
