Kenwood Chef XL
Decided on another Kenwood, the last one gave up the ghost after 52 years. Brilliant machine, well built, does what it says recommended. I tried a Bosch one first and sent it back, too many gizmos, crap design and built from plastic, keep away and get the Kenwood.

Excellent for bread and cake making
I bought this to replace and old Kenwood that couldn't cope with bread making anymore. I make all our bread so it gets a lot of use. It's slightly less noisy than my old one and is a bit bigger and heavier. It still fits into the cupboard and I can lift it in and out easily. So far have not used the whisk function or added any of the many add-on's. For bread making and cake making it's great. It was a very good price too. If I get the same amount of use as the old one it will be very good value.

Kenwood XL good quality mixer
I've already have a kenwood mixer which has been in the family for a very long time, I just needed a new mixer which would cope mixing dough , so I opting on the Kenwood XL. The mixer arrive and straight away I made two loaves a bread in one mix using a 1kg of flour, the mixer it's self is pretty quite and wasn't under any strain mixer a big mix. im well happy with the machine can't recommend it enough.

Great item
Bought as a gift for a very keen baker. She has been using it regularly for a while & really loves it. Sturdy & excellent quality.

Great product
Great product, really sturdy and easy to use. Larger size, so good for baking large quantities. Only drawback for me is that the bowl is very deep and found it a bit tricky to spoon mixture out but this is the first time I have had one, so I’m still getting used to it.

Kenwood power and reliability.
My third Kenwood in 26 years. That should speak for itself. Does all that I could ask of it. Made in China? Probably but what isn't?

I bought the XL because of the amounts I cook. My Kenwood Chefs in the past were excellent
This is my 4th. Kenwood mixer in my long life, and not at all up to standard. The beater won’t reach the bottom of the bowl and sugar was left unmixed when making my shortbread. I turned it out and pressed it into my baking tray, saw the sugar that wasn’t mixed, and tried to distribute it with my hand. Baked it and couldn’t get it out of my tray. The unmixed sugar had turned to toffee and stuck fast. Pieces I salvaged had hard sugar lumps inside and inedible. I bake shortbread for my church every week and this is my first failure in 20 years. All because of my new mixer.

Whisk not fully mixing
Because the whisk did not reach bottom and sides, creaming sugar and butter was a non-starter, such a pity as Kenwoods are usually brilliant
