We bought this to anchor a 20 LB platform swing for our youngest son. I set it up with the swing about 8 inches from the floor and so far so good. The install is very straight forward and while it would have been nice to have a cotter pin, the ring they use works well and I don't plan on having to take the pin out any time soon. I was worried about some of the pictures with the bolt breaking so I took an extra step. I had to get an extra foot of chain for the swing, so I instead got a two foot length. I also anchored an eye hook near the swing into the ceiling. I attached the swing to the chain and at about the halfway mark I attached it to the swings anchor. I then took the remaining foot and attached it to the the eye hook. My hope then, in the event the bolt snaps like on other pictures, the chain is still secured and it will prevent the chain and other parts (except maybe the broken bolt) from falling onto anyone's head. For now though we are very happy with the setup. It does seem very solid and it swings very smoothly and does not make a lot of noise. It appears to be very well made and the anchor bolts are very thick and should hold to the wood beam very well. To test it out, I stood on the swing and there was no give or any strange noises that worried me. The swing and kids are also well below the rated weight. That being said, I'll be checking it periodically though, you can't be too cautious with things like that over time.

Quality material was alot beefier than i expected hardware is good quality. I am 275 and was able to hang from a rope no issues. Very sturdy.

CAUTION: supplied connectors should be used with caution. Structural reinforcement and bolt style connectors may be required. Trusting just the threading of wood screws to hold a persons weight is scary at best. And over time, no way no how. My installation included spanning two a-frames with a piece of 4x4. The 4x4 was attached to the a-frames with four gusset angles and twenty-four structural screws. Additionally, I sistered the nearest a-frame with a length of 2x4 using four 3in structural screws. Then I attached the bracket to the 4x4 with two 5in bolts, washers, and lock nuts.

It’s super sturdy and hasn’t come loose at all. The bolts are really big so they go deep into the wood. Swings and turns great, only problem is when someone is sitting in the swing and turns it likes to jump and makes a clunking noise but that could be fixed with some WD-40. Would recommend 👍🏽

I was worried that this would keep my husband busy for the entire day but he had it up pretty quickly. My daughter loves her hanging hammock and I love that I feel it's safe for her to use!

It doesn't look like it'll hold 1000 lbs. It will. Trust me. Disclaimer: I didn't use this for its intended purpose. I used it as a fulcrum to hoist a 30' antenna tower with 10' of mast and a 19' vertical plus a few VHF/UHF. It was bolted to 1/8" steel angle and with a 5/16" cable running through it, suspended 8' up by a pair of supposedly-heavy-duty brackets. I say "supposedly" because the brackets failed...as in, both of them, rated at 600 lbs each; bent like pipe-cleaners and broke the welds on their own braces, and yet this thing hung on. If you have a swing that qualifies as a normal use-case for this thing and you have 1000 lbs of weight on it I probably don't want to know what you're doing with it, but suffice to say the swing will fail before this does.

Working well so far used 6 inch screws and bolts right through the beam tho as found it too hard to get the screws that came with it twisted in :) feels very sturdy used it quite a bit yesterday and seemed secure :)

Nachdem die erste Selbstmontage mit einem Haken an ihre Grenzen kam, habe ich das Teil hier montiert. Die mitgelieferten Dübel passen und halten gut in unserer Betondecke. Die Kids liebten es, sich mit dem Sitzsack zu drehen, was den Haken irgendwann gelockert hat. Die Befestigung hier macht das alles spielend mit. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Looks to be very sturdy and heavier than I expected. Wanted it for a swivel joint for my 5 yr old grandsons saucer swing instead of the straps rubbing on the tree branch back and forth.

Lieferung trotz Pademie und Ostern sehr schnell. Wir haben die Haken diesmal mit einer Nestschaukel verschenkt . Unsere Haken vor 1 Jahr montiert halten super, obwohl die Enkel manchmal sogar zu dritt darauf herumtoben.
