How is this rolled up ?

Are pencils already sharp or do I need a sharpener?

The orange pencils have been sharpened, others are not. There is a pencil knife, you can use it to sharpen the pencils.

How do you close it so it's flat vs. rolled up (so you don't end up with that extra snap that doesn't snap everywhere)?

If you’ll notice, the extra snap is on the opposite side. So, I could be wrong, but I *think* it’s so you can make a loop & hang it for easy access, depending on where you’re drawing. At least that’s how I’m using it 😊
