I've been totally happy with my purchase. I've had it a few months, and the low CO2 warning just recently came on. It's in regular use by 3 people. My 12-year old probably uses it the most. It was a big hit while entertaining over the holidays! I ordered replacement canisters through Ninja on January 14th, just a couple of days after the warning light came on. They arrived the 19th. It's now the 30th, and I still haven't needed to put in a new canister. The lowest carbonation setting is just fine for me. My sample flavor pack had two vitamin flavors, one energy (caffeinated), and one hydrate with electrolytes. All are sweetened with sucralose, which I dislike. I wish it had included at least one unsweetened option. I don't think I'll be purchasing the Thirsti brand flavor cartridges. They're convenient, but I don't think they're worth the cost. The great thing about the home machine is you can truly customize. Maybe you want to get away from sugary drinks, but you're not on the soda water bandwagon. You can mix your carbonated water into fruit juice or soda to start acclimating to less sugar. It's also simple to purchase any brand of flavor drops to mix into your drink, and if you want sweetener you can use any kind and amount you like! I don't even bother with the flavoring most of the time. Just the carbonation is good enough for me! We were constantly buying bottles and cans of soda water for our household. It was taking up a lot space! I love having this machine instead. I've even reused disposable empties to take my "fizzy water" on the go. It's easy to position even a narrow bottle opening under the dispensing spout. Using cold water is recommended. The reservoir comes with a cold water indicator, which I eventually removed. It didn't seem like it was turning as blue after a couple months of use. I deemed it unnecessary anyway, and possibly a place for bacteria to grow. You can store the water reservoir in the fridge, but I don't because my refrigerator already has a water pitcher spot. Using ice works great, too.

We are loving this thing so far. We did seem to go through the first CO2 pretty quick. I didnt feel like it was 100 servings as it says it should do, and the little light didnt indicate that it was low/empty, but we popped a new one in there and it worked fine. Its wonderful being able to make a per serving drink instead of needing to make a whole liter. My friend has a Sodastream that he loves, but when he saw that, he said if he ever needs to buy a new one, hes getting the Ninja just for that. All the flavors have been great too, we bought them all.

We have been eyeing a drink making system for a long time. After finding this deal, we decided to take the plunge. We use it on a daily basis, and really love the versatility of making our own sparkling beverages. If we had to nitpick, there are a few minor things we would like to change about this system. The first change we would make would be to have a larger reservoir for water and perhaps find a way to make it a little more stable. We have already had several accidents where we have spilled water all over the kitchen moving it from the ninja to the refrigerator. The sparkling feature is better when the reservoir water is ice cold, so, it is best to keep the water in the refrigerator or ADD ice. Since we like larger beverages, we would also love for there to be a little more height for the cup to sit. We are very pleased with the Ninja and look forward to trying new flavors.

This came in the manufacture's box. Just wanted to mention this came in the manufacture’s box and of course my oldest saw it right away. Being that I ordered close to Thanksgiving I didn’t think it would be in the actual Ninja box. One surprise ruined for Christmas. Better to get at the store if you want somebody to be surprised.

I love how this works, even if it requires a power source, as opposed to soda stream. I have both and I'm still happy with the soda stream, but this is on a whole other level. Switching out the pods is extremely easy, although the jury is still out on the flavors. The only one I've tried, so far (lemonade) kind of has, for lack of a better description, an industrial taste. I'm attributing that to the newness of the unit, but I will be updating this review once I've tried them all. The reason I didn't give it the fifth star is because the base that the water container sits upon, protrudes a few inches from the side. This creates an awkward situation claiming real estate on your shelf or counter. I'm going to try several more of ninjas flavors and I'm looking forward to refilling the pods with other flavors. I'm having a hard time creating a cream soda that's not clear (I tried food coloring... meh) but now that it pours right into my ninja canteen, I can't see the color so we'll see if that actually makes a difference. There's a brand of sugar free syrups, at Walmart (Torani), that include vanilla and French Vanilla, that are used to sweeten coffee, but I use them to make ice cream, as well, and it's pretty close to real cream soda. It's just clear and it loses the esthetic value, but I digress... (spoiler alert) I hadn't, too this point, refilled the pods and added these flavors later. More on that below. You will love this thing. THIS IS AN UPDATE! Having had it for a while, I have found just one drawback when refilling the pods. The original pods contain a super sweet syrup which works perfectly for its syrup to water ratio. However, I refilled one pod with soda stream syrups and it came out kinda weak. I opened the pod again and added a serious squirt of Splenda. It still wasn't sweet enough but it made you notice how weak the taste itself was. Cola, orange and cream were all disappointing. There is hope, however. Just add your favorite syrup into the bottom of your canteen and use the sparkling water feature. Now I understand why these things have only sugar free syrups. The mass quantities of sugar ( or worse, high fructose corn syrup) needed to sweeten one drink would require its own silo. I shudder to think:0
