How tall is the ice cream height vs the handle height?

The overall height of the part of the mold that holds the ice cream/ ices (without the handle) is approx 4 1/2" The overall height of the handle (part that goes into ice cream/ices) is also approx 4 1/2" . The actual stick part that goes into the ice cream/ices is approx 3 1/2" . Therefore, the handle /stick is a good length and goes almost all the way down into the ice cream/ices. The ices do not fall off the handle, like it does with other molds. I have been using these and they are great.

If i want to use the wooden sticks in it how can i prevent them from sinking all the way to the bottom?

I imagine a chip clip would work well, you could probably get 2 sticks in one of the bigger clips.
