We have quite a few timers to run our large garden and most of them work great. They are easy to program and efficient at water conservation. This timer was easy to program, but it never did run the program. I tried several times to set it up to a simpler program, changed the batteries, no go. The only way it worked is on manual. If that was all I needed, I could just go to the garden and turn on the water myself!

Great product! This product works very well and we purchased 2 of them (one for our front yard and one for the back yard). It has saved us so much time from manually turning on sprinklers and help us create our own irrigation schedule which has made our lawn look so much better. Very easy to use and install. They also have great customer service for product questions.

I got this in the winter, so it hasn’t seen real, daily use yet. But it comes with a one year warranty and an invite to extend the warranty to 5 years if you join their club, so I will surely get several years of use. The construction looks sturdy, it is all plastic but well built. The buttons and the switch dial operate smoothly and reliably. The battery compartment cover requires no tool to take off and has a good gasket sealing the deep compartment. The LCD screen is readable in normal light, and it is informative: it even displays a droplets icon when the valve is open to signal the operating status. The manual is very thorough, well organized and easy to use, and there is also a quick start guide. I tested all functions and everything works exactly as it should, without a hitch. The valve is producing a distinct click on opening and closing, so it is easy to do the recommended valve activation before use and after storage off-season to ensure the timer does work before attaching it to the outdoor faucet and hose. Per the manual, this timer requires alkaline batteries. I tried rechargeable NiMH batteries (so that you don’t have to) and it reports them as weak, better stick to alkaline ones and not risk any mishap. The unit does not lose its watering schedule when batteries are briefly taken out, like when replacing them: excellent feature! It is such a headache to use gadgets that require re-entering all settings on changing batteries, and I had more than my fair share of those. The manual recommends mounting the unit vertically to avoid water making its way in, not sure why, it looks pretty well sealed, but I’ll follow the directions. More surprising, the recommendation to avoid direct sunlight exposure for the LCD screen. Sure, such screens are sensitive to daylight and do degrade over time, so why not design a sliding or flipping cover for the screen, built into the unit? Or provide an overall cover that is easy to put over the mounted unit. Not an immediate concern for me, I hope, my faucet is in a location that only gets half hour of direct sunlight per day. Overall, a well-designed and well built, easy to program watering timer, with good written instructions and great warranty.

I purchased the 2-zone timer a year ango and it has worked flawlessly. I followed the instructions on installation - used a bit of the Teflon tape and made sure it’s vertical, so It has never leaked. Easy to program, too. The batteries were strong all year (I’ve removed them for winter storage). I’ll probably purchase another for the other side of the house - great value! I really like the zones. I have a “desert” part of the flower garden that I only wanted watered every few days, while the rest needed watered daily. Worked perfectly!
