Bostitch Office No-Jam Booklet Stapler, 20 Sheets, No-Jam Technology, Black (B440SB)

It blows me away how perfectly this stapler is designed and built. My first project was 5 sheets of 28 lb. letter-sized paper folded in half to make a 20-page booklet; adjust your expectations accordingly. I ordered the recommended staples but ended up using a cheap no-name product we had on hand because they were just a tad shorter and looked better. I had no mis-fires; my technique is to line up and give it a whack rather than a polite push. The gadget is well made. The metal is plenty strong - no sense of flimsy - and the stapler itself opens 180 degrees (and stays open) to fill. There are appropriate anti-slip pads where they need to be. Centering the staple exactly at the fold turned out to be fairly easy. The folded booklet nestles nicely on the ridge and comes close to no-brainer perfect alignment but if you want perfection spread your positioning hand over the booklet, pushing away from the ridge with fingers on one side, thumb on the other, and feel the booklet snug into place. If you're aligning your paper with the edge of the stand to place the staple a reasonable distance from the edge, you can also glance at the "peak" of your booklet relative to the peak of the stapler's ridge. If you don't do that you'll generally be dead on or within a staple-thickess off. A plus for storage between uses - it's more compact that it looked in the picture (and Amazon's stated product dimensions are often meaningless) - but it comes in a re-usable box that's about 5x5x12 or so.

Used right away to staple 225 booklets (5 page folded legal paper) without issue. Used standard sized staples that I had on hand. I ordered this because where I work, I always jam that one. So, didn’t jam this one! The booklet curls over. Since it’s heavy duty, it has some weight. It doesn’t NOT easily slip off a temporary table. Since the copier’s stapler was broken 15 weeks, this was less than printing 225 booklets 5 pages at a print shop/package delivery place that also has printing. So, it was a very good value for the money, and the stapler is what usually breaks on our copier. So, I am sure that i will use again.

Exactly what I needed. Worked perfectly for stapling some zines together for my table top game nights. The stapler part seems fairly standard. The base is heavy duty and should stand up to quite a bit of punishment.

It is a great machine tried the other fancy ones but in the end came back to this guy. Does exactly what I need every time.

Great stapler. Still jams at times, sorry guys. It's not a no-jam unit. I even bought the specific staples for it. Out of 150 booklets, it jammed 11 times. 10% isn't bad. Much better than others. It sure helps make booklets easy to assemble. I still would buy it again.

If you’re making booklets you need this in your life. Makes it so much easier. High quality, minimal jam stapler.

Made 20 booklets and it worked great. It is surprisingly heavy and seems well built. It did not jam with the Swingline S.F.4 staples I had on hand. Please note it did not come with staples.

Good strong stapler. Works very well and is perfect for stabling spines on booklets. Decent size, sturdy in use and not at all flimsy. Good value for money. I am using rapesco 26/6mm staples in it with no issues
