Heritage Fruits & Vegetables : Musgrave, Toby: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Highly recommended - A truly sumptuous book. Stunning photographs illustrate a perfect balance of factual information and anecdotes about our disappearing but rich heritage in fruit and vegetables. The humblest of vegetables never looked so beautiful! Divided into seasonal sections, a reminder of the diversity of traditional varieties and the pleasure of indulging in fresh produce according to the time of year. Highly recommended. Review: Well received - Very well received by the keen and competent gardener who I gave it to.

Beautiful photography and interesting text
I choose this rating because it is a book of beauty and that is the way of nature. I heard of Toby Musgrave through Margaretr Throsby's interview on Australian radio.

incredible photography
This is a sumptuous book. The cover is cloth bound and has an expensive feel. Open the book and you are lured in by Clay Perry's incredible photographs inspired by the still life paintings of the old masters. This is a stroke of genius. It does, however steal the show. This is a different kind of fruit and veg book for the thoughtful gardener, who is interested in heritage vegetables. You'll spend much the gazing at the images. There is not too much depth and not all heritage vegetables are included, but it is a beautiful book. This review first appeared on Karen Platt's garden blog.
