I have been searching for a proper Indian-style karahi for a long time. I tried several options from Amazon before this one, but all were returned due to poor quality or uneven heat distribution. For background, I am a big All-Clad (D3) fan. All of my cookware is All-Clad because, with proper preheating, it naturally develops excellent non-stick performance. The stainless steel quality and thick aluminum core distribute heat evenly, which is critical for Indian cooking. When I found this karahi, I was immediately interested because it uses a ceramic coating instead of traditional non-stick. I prefer ceramic due to concerns about toxicity. This was the only karahi I found that offers a 3-layer construction with ceramic coating, similar in concept to high-end cookware. After receiving it, I was honestly impressed. The build quality is excellent and very comparable to All-Clad. The aluminum core is thick, which ensures even heat distribution across the entire karahi. While it is slightly smaller than what I’m used to (I often cook large batches for the week), it still easily fit a whole chicken for my curry recipe. Cooking performance was excellent. Heat was evenly distributed with no hot spots, and the ceramic non-stick surface worked very well. The lid is another highlight—it’s heavy, well-made, and fits securely, helping retain heat and moisture. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the construction, cooking performance, and price. If you’re looking for a high-quality stainless steel ceramic-coated karahi for authentic Indian cooking, this is an excellent choice and one I would confidently recommend.

This is the smallest of the four Tramontina Utsava non-stick Kadais, and seems likely to be my most-used. The size and shape are ideal for single-serving egg dishes, in particular. The ceramic non-stick coating works exceptionally well, at least for now. My only complaint is that the handle rivets are not coated. (I don't think anyone's are.) The handle rivets are emphatically NOT non-stick, and take a bit of scrubbing for clean-up. NBD.

very heavy, unnecessary heavy. Also in side holder no rubber cap, so get warmed sooo much. In it ancient Indian kadai version not the ones that they sold in India now a days. Cant return since I washed it. But bad purchase

I was looking for this size kadai for everyday use for a long time. I am happy with my purchase. Heat distribution is so even. It’s non- stick. Easy to clean and looks so great. This is my third purchase from Tremolina. I highly suggest to buy it.

Good quality

Non stick coating is very good, and I love the depth and manuevarable weight of the pan, but it scratched after a few uses. I read that ceramic svratches easily, but wasn't expecting this quickly. I suspect it's from another dish or utensil in the sink or in the pantry.

Nice small cooking ware wished bigger . Sturdy. And efficient. We loved it.

Got the smallest for my second home and was amazed at the quality and build of this Kadhai. I don’t cook Indian food much, do more stir fry. While I have the usual woks, including the Made-In wok, I love the ease of the ceramic coating, even heat distribution and most of all, the cleaning It cooks very evenly and per another reviewer, quality comparable to higher end cookware like all-clad. I’m back to get the 4 quart. It’s that good!

Excellent quality

At the price of Rs. 5099/-, I am not inclined to purchase a product with minor scratches and small chipped-off areas.

Worst product at designer price… it says cool handles but the handles boil while cooking making them very difficult to hold
