These pedals grip the shoe pretty well. I’ve had other pedals that somehow couldn’t figure out how to do that but these do a stellar job. No problems, good grip…I like them

I have several different products from rockbros, happy with every product I have got from them. Not everyone can afford high end components. Their products are strong and priced fairly. Will continue to order Rockbros products.

These replaced my worn out Chesters . Every rider should have some composite flats like these to compliment clipless pedals . My initial thoughts are very positive given the affordable price point. Bike components have gotten outrageous. On the positive side, build quality is good, the chromium spindles are well forged. The bearings have been set and greased well. The pedals rotated smoothly with consistent grease drag on initial installation. Both pedals had equal drag with no apparent jams or air bubbles which can be common on new pedals. I weighed them at 373 g -- very close to the 365 g spec which is about nominal for composite pedals. 350 is good, 450 is heavy and 550 would be a joke. I was impressed that the vendor shipped spare traction pins . Also the installed pins are well coated. In my case I may remove the pins to avoid damage to my shoes. I'm really impressed at the pin quality and spare pin inclusion. On the downside the packaging isn't great and that's acceptable. The CR-R / CR-L spindle stamping is sloppy and will collect dirt / mud -- i would have preferred a removable sticker to keep the design clean. Overall initial review is very good. I'm mostly impressed by the build quality and the smooth rotation. Many budget pedals will have either grinding bearings or grease friction making rotation rough. Great work RockBros and thanks. These pedals were an amazing upgrade. I ride in all kinds of weather and used to slip on my old pedals, but these are slip resistant and thicker, so they completely fixed that problem. I also love how they make my bike look more aggressive and professional, and the price was really reasonable. I’m giving them 4 stars because after a few months of riding in the rain, the metal parts started to rust a little. It doesn’t affect the slip-resistant function at all, so it’s more of an aesthetic issue than a functional one.

After almost 1 year and 3,400 miles on my MTB (all street riding): These pedals stopped my running shoes from slipping around as they did on my original cheapo quill-type MTB pedals. These pedals might even grip better if my running shoes had flat bottoms with no cut outs and hard plastic arch supports molded into the soles. But that's not the pedal's fault. When new, the bearings were smooth and had some very slight drag when spinning the pedals by hand, but that was to be expected with precise-fitting new bearings. Now, 3,400 miles later, the left pedal still feels like new (slight drag), but the right pedal is looser on the pedal spindle and I can hear an intermittent clicking noise if I spin the pedal fast by hand. I never hear any noises while pedaling though. I'll have to watch the right-side pedal to make sure it doesn't loosen up more on the spindle. After 3,400 miles maybe the right pedal bearings are wearing some? To Rock Bros credit, I emailed them about it and they said I could send a video of the pedal making noise when I spin it and they would advise me further. On the pedal width, my running shoes hang over the outer edge of the pedal a little so I wouldn't mind if the pedals were a little wider.

I really like these pedals, they're lightweight, they look good, and they work great with my 5/10 shoes. It almost feels like I'm clipped in. My feet don't move around at all once I'm underway on my mountain bike. I bought a second pair to throw on my single speed.
