Excellent always sharp pencil
This is basically a pencil that works like a click box cutter. Always sharp, you’ll never need to sharpen a pencil again! And it has the same wide lead shape as a carpenter pencil, so it marks the same as one. The lead is tough and durable, I have not had it break. Well made considering that it is a simple pencil, retractable, has a pocket clip that’s removable, grips just like a box cutter, and is thin enough to tuck into your hat and not be a nuisance. It’s a great replacement for those 67 cent box store wooden pencils.

Is it a one-time use tool?
This is a nice pencil for rough carpentry. I don't think I would use it for cabinetmaking because the line is too thick. That's not why I gave it 4 stars. Are there any additional refills for it. I know you can refill it because it comes with refills but is that all? Do you throw it away once those refills are gone and buy another one?

I want to love this.
The lead is great and seems to be really durable. lays down a great line. The problem is the body it is housed in is hot garbage. Doesn't have enough tension to stay open. As soon as you apply pressure to make your mark, the pencil lead slips back into the body. Looking for a Olfa style body with a turn knob to tension the blade. otherwise it's going to sit in the bottom of my toolbag collecting dust.

Works great
Love the constant thin line with no sharpening needed. Great product.

Do better
The pencil is great but the fact that you can’t just buy the lead you have to buy a new pencil everytime is probably the dumbest thing I ever heard I wish I new that before I bought it.. if could buy extra lead I’d highly recommend this pencil but sense you can’t I’d definitely go back to other carpentry pencils.. considering they come with a lot of extra lead and different colors and the top is a pencil sharpener..

Fabulous work tool!
Easy extending and retracting. Tough graphite/fiber point that can be snapped to a new point if desired, but mine just keeps working perfectly. Comes with an extra replacement cartridge! Fabulous value! Hook holds onto pants or shirt pocket with ease. So glad I have this as a work tool that I use all day long!

It draws sharp, that's about it...
Great for marking precise measurements. Needs a locking mechanism to stop the lead retracting. Not great for writing letters or numbers

Junk Tool.
Junk. The lead breaks easily. As soon as the lumber is wet, it won't make marks. They kind of wash away. I saw a video of a guy showing it off and thought, I'll try it. Well, I tried it and I put it back in the truck after about an hour of trying to use it. It's now in the garbage since the last time I cleaned out the truck. Absolutely not worth the time. (I'm a Contractor/Builder in BC, Canada)

Cheap junk
I can't for the life of me figure out what this pencil is for. Broke instantly on the job site. (Framing) nothing special about it in woodworking either. You would almost always use a normal 2b pencil over this. I feel like I got scammed after watching a product demo that made this pencil look amazing. Useless product. If I could give it a 0 star review I would.
