Powerful Motor, But Not the Right Fit for My Routine
This mixer grinder has a strong motor and feels built to last.It handled basic grinding tasks well and worked efficiently.I decided to return it because the jar sizes and overall setup did not quite match my daily use.The design is solid, but I realized I needed something with a simpler, more compact layout. It could be a great fit for someone who prepares large batches or more traditional recipes.Good quality — just not aligned with what I needed day to day.

I expected better
This Review is based on two factors1. Quality of the product:The Mixer Grinder broke the second time I used it. The whole kitchen started smelling like burnt Plastic, I don't know If I was just unlucky that i got a defective product or the build quality was defective. The positive side of this product is unlike some that I used - this one has a stainless steel bowl in which the blending takes place so it is plastic free. the down side is the steel is very thin and seemed it would crack open with a little pressure. The plastic lids are also very flimsy but its make do.2 Customer ExperienceAfter I placed the order - the Seller contacted me directly - note It was not Amazon - it was the seller who contacted me directly - I was concerned why was the seller contacting me directly - It should be through Amazon. The Seller wanted to make sure that the Address that I had given to Amazon was the correct one and the seller wanted to verify it. That was very strange - no seller had ever contacted me directly it was always via Amazon. How did the seller get my info and why did he have to contact me? that was strange. after the product failed I contacted them and hoped that maybe i was just unlucky and that they would replace it to which they agreed and when I asked about the return label they wanted me to get the label from Fedex ... etc. the situation is like I get a defective product and then I give them the benefit of doubt and hope they would replace it but they want me to pay for the shipping after I have even bought insurance on that product. I think this was unfair and not correct practice on behalf of the seller. This whole process took like a month.Preeti is a reputable brand in India, and I did not expect this from this brand, it is unfortunate that my experience with this brand is making me give one star to this product. I hope Gandhi Appliances will take this as a positive and think of ways to turn this one star into five stars for the future customers of Gandhi Appliances.

It has been working daily for a month
I was looking for a blender in the US for daily smoothies and occasional chutney, pesto, hummus, or spice grinding. American blenders all have plastic jars and only single jars, so I chose this Preethi mixie for its 3 different steel jars. I've been satisfied for this first month of daily use.-- 5 stars: For daily smoothies using frozen or fresh fruit, spinach and yogurt, I found the large jar grinds to a smooth creamy consistency whereas the middle jar leaves visible bits of spinach. The middle jar is better for chutney rather than creamy smoothies. The large jar also works great for hummus.-- 5 stars: The small jar works great for masalas or coffee beans. But you need to use enough to reach the blades. It won't work for tiny amounts.-- 3 stars: This model is only 500W which is not very strong for a blender or mixie, so I thaw the chunky frozen fruit first. I find I have to run it for a long time to get things to grind fully and not leave lumps. I even sometimes set the timer for 2 or 3 minutes and stand there (because the lids don't latch). But it does eventually grind things to a very fine or creamy consistency.-- Five stars: It came with several replacement parts and a tool to loosen the bottom of the jars. I haven't used any of those yet but I really appreciate that they came with it. With previous mixies I broke the plastic gear teeth by trying to grind jaggery chunks, and I had to take it to a dealer to replace the bottom of the jar. That was in India and cost a couple hundred rupees in 10 minutes, but would be impossible or expensive here in the US, for any model of blender/mixie.

Effective Mixer for Those Looking for Familiarity
After my parents moved from India to the US, they were dissatisfied with all the grinders I bought for them, including Ninja and NutriBullet models. They wanted something familiar, so I got the Preethi Mixer. This mixer is incredibly loud, but my parents are happy with it. Although you can buy it from some import websites for 40% cheaper, I chose to purchase it through Amazon for the comfort of their return policy, despite the higher cost.Overall, it’s a reliable option if you're looking for a familiar, effective mixer, but be prepared for the noise.

My experiences
I am using this version of mixie first time and did not realize the differences compared to other better models of Preethi when buying. As I use it mostly for mixing and grinding for Indian cooking, it is very powerful when I used it for batter making. But unfortunately when I was trying to prepare Spinach (palak) paste, even though I pressed the lid firmly still the lid came off spilling hot spinach paste over my body creating burns also it spilt all over kitchen and walk ways and walls in my new home. This is my first accident in my new home. Please understand if this version of the product is suitable for your needs before buying. The accident may not happen to everybody though I understand cooking I am not a frequent cook therefore do not consider myself to be skilled one. Therefore consider this as a caution when you chose the product rather than as a review for the product.
