Plano All-Weather Gun Case

This was an exceptionally well designed and manufactured gun case. It’s not flimsy like those that sell for 2/3 the price. You do truly get what you pay for in this case. The double action locks are all heavy duty, including the two that have built in locks. There are additional locking capabilities but with them built in probably only useful if the case would be out of your sight, say for shipment. Hinges are massive compared to flimsier cases. This case ranks right up there with the toughness of professional road cases. I should know as a professional video producer. You will be pleasantly surprised with the quality of this case given its price point. Also, their help desk called back within the hour when I had a question, were pleasant and helpful. Addendum: 9/4/25- to speak to the quality, usability and overall utility of Plano gun cases, I have not only had time to use this purchased on in transporting a firearm in this case in the back of my truck but have purchased the larger sized (with end handle and wheels) to hold longer rifles and shotguns, one up to 51 inches. The larger case not only holds two with scopes but three shotguns simultaneously protected and locked (as reqd in MA) also in the back of the truck. Note this one has 4 sets of slots for tie down, keeping things solid in sometimes rough traffic. I have been recommending these cases now to members of my nearby club, as with additional new gun laws here, locked/secured protection during transit is mandatory.

Great case to store anything that's the right size, a firearm in my case. It takes some planning to figure out where you want to put everything, but you can just lay things out on top of the foam, and then pull out the foam once you have the layout figured out. Easy. I like having 4 latches, and I love having two of them lockable, even though I feel certain a good praybar would break it right open. I also like the ability to release the pressure valve in case you're flying. Nice idea. I like the lock points, holes next to the latches that I run padlocks through to add a little more security. Great case, great value.

This Plano case is a fantastic multi-purpose all around case, offering great sturdiness and support. Its four latches hold everything down securely, and even with only two locked, the case remains difficult to flex open. The pluck foam is a nifty feature, allowing you to trace and cut an almost exact custom fit for whatever you store inside, and tear-away foam sections extend close to the edges, providing ample room for versatility. The case itself is well-manufactured, feeling like a quality piece that can handle drops and bumps with ease. The egg crate-style top foam keeps everything in place when the lid is closed, and there's an additional underlayer to protect your equipment. All in all, this is an awesome case, and would definitely recommend!

The case arrived not damaged and the gasket was fine too. Very happy about the quality of the case. Good padding, material thickness and dimensions.

I got this to hold an old lap steel guiar, but was happy to discover it will also work for the Eart Headless GW2 as well. I also tried my Zoom L-12 in it for size, and it was quite a bit larger than needed for that item, although one could put other realted gear in with it (mics, etc.) and have a good solid case for a recording setup as well. Case is well made for the price, seem sturdy but not overly robust (not a flight case). Doesn't close quite perfectly, and you have to adjust the lid a bit sometimes when closing it. Not a big deal, considering how little it costs (for a hard case this size, that is). Foam is deep and dense, and seems like it will protect well. One thing I did knock a star off for - it isn't very stable on its side or end. You must be very careful in any position other than flat on its back. I would like it to have had a bit more material on the hing side and ends to make it more stable that way. Not perfect, but a good deal at this price, and solid enough to give a reasonable amount of protection to various items. Definitely worth a look. Cases in this size range are hard to find. Versions about three inches shorter and one inch wider; or 3 inches shorter and 5-6 inches narrower would be other good items for Plano to make in my not-so-humble opinion.

I spent hours and hours over days looking for a quality case from a reliable brand and that wasn’t overly bulky within my budget. I was determined to find the most compact case possible for my needs for under $100. The trouble was that my Ruger 10/22 is an infuriating 37” when all the cases on the market are 36” or 42”. Ultimately, I discovered that the size in the product name can differ from the case’s true measurements: the actual interior is commonly slightly smaller or bigger than expected. To find my unicorn, I carefully examined specifications and description details, and cross-checked the info on other sites selling the same product. I hope this warning helps anyone else looking for specific dimensions. I hate how difficult it is to handle my 50” Plano case. As a city slicker, I needed a new case that could easily fit inside the backseat or trunk of a sedan inconspicuously. I also needed a case manageable enough for a 5’3” female to carry in one hand while maybe also handling a giant rucksack, extra seabag or duffel and/or a rolling deployment bag. The case feels sturdy without being too heavy and has a very comfortable carrying handle. I’m pleased with the quality of the materials, but I know I can break the plastic if I treat it like it’s a Pelican case—it ain’t. To prolong the longevity and prevent breakage, I will be careful to avoid knocking it into walls or tossing it onto hard ground at full force. As for security, I’m not worried about it being pried open because it’s solid and hefty; there are also places for adding your own skinny locks. As mentioned in other reviews, the built-in locks (w/ two small keys) are a bit temperamental. I sometimes struggle to unlock it, but it will eventually open each time. I’m hoping the problem will go away as it gets some mileage; I suspect I just need to know how to rub it the right way. My case is used for two configurations. * It will hold a collapsed S&W M&P15 Sport I (w/ Bushnell TRS-25 + UTG Compact 0.83” Riser) along with a hardwood Ruger 10/22. The rifles lay straight and flat—a tight fit—without any sideways wizardry. * It can also hold a Beretta M9 along with a Colt M4A1 (w/ M68) with room to spare. I will add photos later, take exact measurements, and play tetris to show what the case can comfortably accommodate.

It's definitely a good case for the money lot sturdier than I expected fits my ar15 4 mags and few other things no problem the foam does a good job of holding everything in place it's not just made of thin plastic it's thicker stuff and the latches are good decent locks great for going hunting or to the range

La mousse intérieur est de bonne qualité et les prédécoupes en petits carrés sont très bien finies et facile à extraire (contrairement à d'autres marques que je possède également). Je recommande vraiment ce produit si vous cherchez un excellent rapport qualité prix. Un seul petit hic, une odeur de poisson qui provient du joint mais qui, je pense, va s'estomper au fil du temps. Bien évidemment, elle n'est pas légère, mais le poids est en adéquation avec la qualité, la solidité et la robustesse pour l'emmener partout ! Côté esthétique, juste magnifique, digne d'un produit made in USA

Love at first site. I own the brocock sniper xr and considering it's a high end rifle I wanted to give it a good home. Pros. Perfect for a ar rifle or a bull pup, the foam is pre cut so I shaped it on my rifle perfectly, very sturdy, locking mechanism, doesn't feel cheap and looks great ! Fits in the boot of The car like a dream. Cons. Couldn't find any ! Just keep in mind the length as it's not for a large sniper rifle ! Don't thi k about it, just buy it !
