'I now feel safe in the knowledge that I'm armed with the latest science-backed information about how to care for my skin' Chloe Brotheridge, author of The Anxiety Solution We all know that taking good care of our skin is the key to any effective health and beauty regime. But with so much conflicting information out there, the path to healthy skin can seem far from clear. Dr Anjali Mahto is one of the UK's leading consultant dermatologists. Equipped with years of expertise and the most up-to-date evidence, she sets out to cut through the noise and distinguish the nuggets from the nonsense. Chia seeds won't make your skin glow and lilac water is never going to reduce acne scarring. And, when it comes to the best products, high price doesn't necessarily mean high quality. Tackling common complaints such as acne and dryness, rosacea and aging, The Skincare Bible is your definitive companion to your body's biggest organ. Clear, concise and packed full of tips on the best products and routines, it will help you discover what works for you and find confidence in your own skin. This is your expert guide to great skin - pure and simple. 'A refreshing, fad-free guide to glowing skin. A must read for anyone struggling with their skin health' Dr Megan Rossi Review: Informative and super easy read! - Loveeeee this book. Mahto does an incredible job at breaking down the science behind skincare without missing important information. She also writes it in a user friendly approach - I learned so much, but never felt like I was getting lost. She divided the book into chapters based on skin concerns, so it's very easy to go back through your reading and check in on current skin concerns you might have. I can't recommend the book enough! My only qualm is that she rarely cites any sources in her book, which is confusing to me since it's so scientifically focused. Still worth it, though! Review: Great book - Great book

Surprisingly Good
I purchased this in a pinch when a different book I ordered for a gift was failed to be delivered (not by Amazon). I didn't have high expectations but I actually ended up reading a lot of it before gifting it to my teenaged niece. It is very well laid out and easy to read while providing very good information, some of which I had never encountered before. This book actually helped me figure out something about my own skin! 100% recommended!

Information on how the skin works, the science of skincare, and which products best support different skin types/conditions. Great read!

Prefect Book for someone interested in the skin industry!
My girlfriend wanted to become a future esthetican and she was always telling me how the book has helped her so much to start her learning journey. I wanted her to know that I support her in any career she chose and the book was more than proof. It gets deep into what one might want to know about the skin, and different skin concerns like Acne, ageing and others as well as how to care for skin type and prevent skin problems. I myself have used some of the tips the book recommends (I didn't know spf was a must! lol big life changer). Rate 10/10 ! recommend those looking into skin as a profession or those who want to become wiser in knowing how to better their skin.

All you need to know
Great book. I am a 33 year old male who took a sudden interest in trying to fix my complexion and reduce sun damage. I was astounded to see how extremely limited information there is on the internet. If researching something like Vitamin C, it would just say a few lines and the rest would be product promotion. I found Reddit to be an excellent starting resource, but rather than clicking through a hundred pages, it is far better to just do yourself a favour and purchase this book. The cost of this book is nothing in comparison to what you would spend in a year on creams and so on. Things I liked: very easy to read, quite comprehensive (I learnt A LOT that, particularly information on difference between UVA and UVB - that information alone to me is worth hundreds of dollars!) Things I didn't like: still confused about sunlight vs Vitamin D amounts, information was repeated, but that's due to the book organised based on the condition. A nerd like me ould also like a bit more scientific information on some of the recommendations, but I think the amount contained was perfect for the average person. All in all a very factual book that dispels the myths and tells you exactly what you need for your routine. Absolutely worth the money

Would definitely recommend
Absolutely love this book! I’ve been following Dr Anjali Mahto for a while on instagram and loved the documentary she featured in about the truth of skin care. I Iove how her wealth of knowledge is made accessible and easy to read. Her breakdown of information is clear and concise, and her personal experience of problematic skin is a refreshing and honest read. I suffer with adult acne at nearly 37 and feel she really understands the anxiety and mental health aspects it can cause offering practical and affordable solutions, important for those of us on a budget but desperate for advice! I loved this book and read it within a day.
