GameSir Tarantula Pro Wireless Controller for Switch/PC/iOS/Android with Charging Dock, Bluetooth 2.4Ghz Wired Controller TMR Sticks, 9 Mappable Buttons, 1200mAh, ABXY Layout Switching

I have waited over 3 months to review this controller so I could fully test it daily and compare it to other controllers I have used in the past. For the money this is one of the best gaming controllers I have ever tried, and I have used nearly every mainstream controller since the early 1980s, as well as many bespoke (overpriced) custom made controllers in my past. I first heard about this controller via a friend. When I bought it in Feb it was £63.99 on sale. At first my perception of the brand GameSir was not one of high quality products, but of budget friendly, cheap controllers that do the job. Overall the build quality of the whole controller is very good. However, the Tarantula Pro has a phenomenal D-pad and possibly one of the best D-pads I have ever used in a long while. If you play a lot of retro games, or games that use the D-pad. This controller is an amazing buy. The D-pad uses tactile switches and great quality. I have been hammering at it for the last 3 months and it is still like new. For example, if you use a standard Xbox Controller, this D-pad is a huge upgrade over it. The joysticks use TMR, and the sticks are positioned like a Playstation controller which I prefer to the Xbox over made years of playing both. They are wide enough apart that you don't get repetitive strain, compared to some cheaper controllers that place the two sticks too close together, causing your thumbs issues over time. I use this controller on my PC in the xbox layout as well as often on the switch as a replacement to the switch pro controller. If you hold down the M button on the back + bottom A the controller can rotate the layout between Switch layout and back to Xbox depending on your needs. One of the few criticisms of the controller is the feeling of the four buttons. They are nice and are certainly ok, and more than up to the job. However, it is one of the few places I think GameSir has made the controller for the cost, as if you have handled more expensive controllers, you can feel the difference in the way they click. They are perfectly good though and this is only a minor criticism. And for a controller at this price it is almost expecting too much. Another criticism is to set up the software and getting the controller to work the first time you have to directly connect the controller to your pc. I tried for ages wirelessly and through the charging station with their app. It did not work till I stuck the cable directly into the back of the controller, bypassing the charging dock. Once I had set it up physically once via the usb cable directly to the controller all the other features worked perfectly. However I did find this a little clunky and something GameSir needs to work on for customer experience. Overall, this controller is nearly perfect. And for the price it is a steal. I got it on one of the many sales Amazon has. If you need a high quality, well built controller with really good build quality and a stand out amazing D-pad, this controller is for you.

Positives: - Ergonomic shape, comfortable to play on - Responsive and tactile buttons and joystick - Good battery life - Good weight to controller - Tested compatible with PC, IOS and Android Minor negatives: - Overwhelming and outdated instruction leaflet provided with product, needed assistance from Gamesir Discord server to get controller connected with provided dongle - Requires GameSir app for all customisations, can't configure extra buttons or gyro within games themselves - I would have preferred a grippier material on the side of the controller.

After reading about this control pad, watching various demo videos on it, how well it plays EA FC with the TMR sticks, warzone with hair triggers . It looked great. However fast forward a few days and I'm returning it due to the A button being intermittent, not ideal when playing competitive online games, couldn't jump out of windows on warzone and couldn't pass on FC 25.... looks like I will have to go after the Razor Wolverine V3 Pro after all... The sheer difference in price for the tarantula pro compared to some of the other "high end" controllers clearly showed here. Looks the part but fell short in the basics.*** ***EDIT - I am amending my review and upgrading the stars based on potentially a problem caused by myself, i plugged the dongle into the dock, and then using a longer usb a to usb c cable, brought the dock closer to where i was sitting as previously i was a bit far from the dongle in my PC, this seems to have alleviated the issue with the A button not being responsive, and overall the controller is good, feedback feels good, and the overall build quality is robust and feels well made, my only issue and the reason i cannot give it 5 stars, is that the M button on the back is in the center and my finger always catches it when playing EA FC for example and then my shoot button / RT / LT is turned onto auto, meaning my shots are pathetic, i cant sprint etc. but that is the only flaw i have experienced. other than that I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CONTROL PAD :) is good on Warzone with the mouse click triggers too!

Good value for money. The controller works great, the additional buttons and the ability to switch between deep and shallow press is very useful. When connected using it's own dongle, the windows software it doesn't detect it so if you need to customise any configuration you need to connect it with a usb cable, but the configuration is saved so unless you need to change any settings you can just use it with the dongle

D-pad's diagonal inputs are actually completely, and utterly irredeemably terrible. The actual d-pad feels nice because of the switches but it is absolutely awful at registering diagonal inputs. The L2/R2 digital toggle switches are flawed and will disable if you press to hard or at the wrong angle - rendering the triggers completely unusable - you can fix it with some tape on the controller edge to stop it happening but using tape on a £80 controller is completely unacceptable on every level. Most other things are ok to good. The face button display gimmick is utterly pointless and feels like a waste of money that could have been far better served on the d-pad quality, triggers not literally failing to work on a basic level in a 'premium' feature mode and the face buttons simply being better. Could easily be rated much higher - perhaps even a 5 - without these very basic missteps. The poor quality of the d-pad especially renders it completely unsuitable for anything requiring precise inputs for diagonals such as fighting games. The only reason I've not returned it is because the Dualsense is actively worse and there's basically no other good options for a symmetrical pad. I've heard hearsay of a revision that fixes the d-pad but mine is terrible with no way to choose (or verify) revision rendering the point at most a rather expensive gamble. It's entirely possible this is the revised one and it's still just utterly awful.

At first as i had brought this for rocket league the stick felt really off and was over steering but after a bit of a google read a fix was a self calibration of which was in the instructions but they should have said to do upon first use as read instructions fully beforehand. All in all i am very happy with this controller the sticks now feel amazing and as do all the buttons only thing which could be me is the paddle buttons on the rear i move to off as when on i find myself accidentally pressing them where i am trying to grip the controller but other than that amazing.

Is it compatible with Xbox and PS5? Because I can't find any way to connect it. I've tried several ways. If anyone knows how, please teach me.

約1年間FPSで酷使して片方の背面ボタンが物理的に欠け、反応しなくなったため再度購入したのでレビューしてみます。 以下にざっくり良い点と惜しい点を列挙します。 ○良い点 ・TMRスティック、クリッキー十字ボタン/トリガー、複数ボタン背面ボタン付きのプロコンにしてはかなり低価格。なんならセール時は純コンとほぼ変わらない。今まで同じ条件の3万以上するPADも買ってきたが使い心地は変わらず、慣れも必要ない。 ・ライティングは専用ソフトで自由に変えられるので好みの色に変えられる。 ・形状はDS4に近く握り込める感じなのでDualSenseが大きいと感じていた人には使いやすいかもです。 ・TMRスティックのおかげか、かなり酷使したがスティックドリフトは起こらなかった。当たり個体かもしれないけど、デッドゾーンも0.00で大丈夫でした。 ・ポーリングレートはデフォルトで1000Hz。某ビーバーのソフトを使って測定しましたが、なにも設定しなくてもしっかり1000Hz出ていました。 ○惜しい点 ・充電ポートが狭めなので付属のUSBタイプCじゃなければほぼ刺さらない。毎回充電がめんどくさくなるので2000円ケチらずに充電ドッグ付きを買うべき。ドッグから外しただけで勝手に起動してくれるので非常に楽です。 ・振動除去はされてないのでその分重め。FPSに向かないってほどではないが、気になる人は分解して取り除くのもありかもです。 ・せっかくのPS配置なのにPS5では使用できない。Bluetoothならいけるんじゃねとか思いましたが出来ませんでした。 ・買い替えた原因である背面ボタンの耐久性。何回も床に落としたりしたのでそれも一因かもしれませんが、使用中に押せなくなったとかではなく、使おうと思ったら押せなくなった感じなので背面ボタンの耐久性に関してはよくわかりません。 結局のところPADは消耗品なので自分は別の乗り換え先が出るまでは高価格帯買うよりも壊れたらこれ買い替えるスタイルで行こうと思っています。ハイエンドプロコン1台買う間にこれなら3台は買い替えられますし、純コンにパドル増設等の改造をする場合も分解途中で壊してしまうリスクもあり、また純コンにパーツにと揃えているといい値段するので今回充電ドッグ付きを購入して、これ以降はPADのみの購入にしようと考えています。

Mando clase premium, probado en pc win.11 ,el dock de carga conectado a un puerto del pc y el usb Bluetooth conectado al dock, me ha reconocido a la primera el dock de carga y consiguiente también el mando, procedo a descargar el software de GameSir ,se actualiza el firmware del mando, todo sin problemas, eso sí, cuando el mando está reposando en el dock se desconecta, únicamente el software reconocerá el mando solamente cuando es activado, y luego se puede navegar en el software con el mismo mando, elegir intensidad del color, parámetros, configurar botones según el teclado, etc, muy contento, botones manejo, todo de 10, lo voy a usar solamente para pc , no tengo switch, etc, 100% RECOMENDADO para pc, no es compatible con xbox, ps,DE NINGÚN MODO NO DEBE SER RECONOCIDO EN WINDOWS COMO CONTROLLER XBOX! DEBE APARECER COMO GAMESIR CONTROLLER,perfecto para juegos de teclado y ratón, y para steam imput. Ejemplo dark messiah, sin configuración

Shape de Playstatios é o suprassumo do video game, aproveitei para pedir o meu no "Prime Day" e saiu super em conta, vale cada centavo. Algumas funcionalidade não são 100% intuitivas mas com uma rápida pesquisa você aprende a mexer em todas as funcionalidades, 10/10

Saw RetroGameCorps using this controller, and it has the rarer style of PlayStation controllers, so I decided to pick it up, due to my DS5 controller not quite working for Infinity Nikki at the time Blown away by this controller, no complaints thus far... except that it does not show the Playstation button symbols when in DS4 mode.
