Very sturdy, looks good and well made. Needs a bit of effort to move supports but that is good as it won't collapse. Nice that the height is adjustable and easy to do with the button under top edge. Overall well worth the money.

Excellent book/tablet/ device stand. Quite stiff to change the position but that means it stays in place. Well made and very helpful to make sure you have the correct reading angle.

Brilliant! So helpful in bringing books up to my eye level which I need for comfort with the spinal condition I have. Sturdy enough to hold large hard backs. Raises up high when needed, and tilts for desired angles. Will be invaluable for using with cook books too, as I need my back to be as upright as possible. This has got me back into reading as I was finding holding a book in the normal manner too difficult. Absolutely love this stand, 10 out of 10

On the plus side, this stand is very strong; it will hold a heavy book or laptop with ease. It's also extremely adjustable, won't slide around, and looks nice. Plus it folds up to store on it's side when not in use. The reason I'm taking off a point is that although it looks like the face of the stand is wood, and the description says wood, the only wood *might* be if there is some hidden inside. But the part that looks like wood is just a wood-colored plastic laminate. I don't like when manufacturers mislead customers. Also, its worth noting that the same heavy workmanship and tight screws that make it able to hold heavy books also makes it *very* hard to open, adjust, and close. I literally have to stand over it and press down with my body weight to close it. I can't imagine a kid or elderly person being able to use this.

It's what I hoped it would be -- nice-looking, sturdy, has tight mechanism, versatile, and has wide-enough base to keep it stable for use even with a laptop. I did not know what to expect in terms of its weight, but I'm pleased that it's not heavy at all. I'm satisfied with this puchase.

Was looking at this company's laptop holder and thinking I need something just like that to hold a book. Then I saw this on the same Amazon page as an alternative offering to the laptop holder. Clicked on that and found lots of book holding products. I was amazed that I never thought to search for a book holder. Well, even though many offer a similar product. None I saw offered the height adjustment I was looking for like this one. Build quality is solid, the book platform is large with clips to hold pages open. It functions just the way I want it too. Glad I found it. I recommend it.
