These are great. I'm 5'9" 264lbs with a 51" waist. They allow my clothes to fit better and create a slimming look. It doesn't perform miracles, but it does help. I got them for the summer to feel more comfortable wearing shorts and t-shirts. They breathe enough to not be excessively hot. I use them at the gym lifting weights too and they've held up to that activity. They have a good balance of tightness but stretch so you can actually get them on, but it does take a little effort. They do have an opening to use the bathroom but I usually end up just using a stall and lowering it, which can be a pain.

While it does provide compression, it doesn’t always stay in place as firmly as it should, especially if you’re moving around a lot. A stronger hold around the waist and torso would make it much more effective.
