Grizzly Mountain Beard Dye - Organic & Natural Black Beard Dye

I began using JFM but have sensitive skin. I had slight burn after a few uses so decided to stop immediately. I looked at a few natural items and saw this brand available on Amazon. I initially used the dark brown. It didn’t work well. I was getting orange colour on my grey hairs and only lasting a couple of days. I was about to give up but thought I would try the black dye. This has worked great with no irritation. With this product, it took some practice and trial and error to get things the way I wanted. I have a relatively short beard (number 6 on my Remington beard trimmer) and I colour it every 5 days. It’s not as straight forward as chemical dyes but I have found it works just as well. The first thing to mention is that this does take longer. If you need the base then it can take up to an hour whereas the JFM only stayed on for 2 minutes. I find it best to use this around doing something else as opposed to just sitting around waiting to wash it off. The second thing to mention is that this does not work like chemical dyes. This will only colour what it is physically in contact with. Therefore, you have to make sure you cannot see any hair sticking out of the application. It has to be thick with the beard fully underneath the mixture. I find that my beard darkens immediately but continues to get darker over the next 8 hours. I don’t personally get any of the green or purple mentioned. This colour is a dark black and darker than my natural beard. There is no guarantee that the dye will work. You may need to use the base. The dye has not worked for me without the base. I have done some trial and error and I can mix my base in with the black and use it in one application. This is not how they recommend it is used but works for me and I half the time. It works better if you use the base and colour separately but I’m happy with the result and I prefer to have a few grey hairs here and there as it looks more natural. If I use separately then I can get 100% black beard. One of the great things about this compared to chemical products is that this does not colour your skin. I have no irritation at all. I previously had dry skin under my beard but using this product has meant I no longer have dry skin. It’s also worth noting that this product requires a lot less time on the beard than similar natural products which say they need to be on for anywhere between 4 hours to overnight. All in all very happy with this and I like that it is natural.

I’m extremely disappointed with this hair dye. I followed every single instruction exactly as written, and instead of the color advertised, my hair turned PURPLE. Not even close to what was shown on the box. I spent time and money trying to get a decent result, and now I’m stuck with a color I never wanted. This product is a complete rip-off and absolutely not worth the money. The results were misleading, uneven, and honestly embarrassing. If a product can’t deliver the promised color even when used correctly, it shouldn’t be sold at all. I’m beyond pissed off and would never buy this brand again. Save your money and avoid this disaster.

This product is outstanding. No other product compares to the brilliant results obtained from this product. I can categorically state brilliant results. Highly recommended.

Started using this product because I'm allergic to the chemicals in Just For Men. Initially used Dark Brown but recently switched to black and found its a better colour match and lasts longer. Top up about every two weeks and require about 1.5hrs when I do due to 30min for the preparation powder followed by two 30min sessions for the dye itself. Obviously a bit time consuming but it's the price you pay for avoiding harsh chemicals. Takes a few hours to lose the green tinge but then looks pretty natural. Is the best alternative I've found to the chemical options.

Like many, I was scratching my face off with J4M product so started looking for alternatives. Came across this product so thought what's there to lose! After I used it the first time, I got a orange/brown tinge on my beard and thought this isn't going to work but rather giving up like some comments I wrote to customer services and they were quick to get back to me. Sent me video links of covering the beard with thin plastic bag after I applied the mixture to be absorbed properly. Tried and n the next day my beard was like really black! So I promise it does work but you have to have the right viscosity and in hot water! Write to them if your not getting the desired results.. They wil help you! Good luck!

Like many, I had to switch to natural dyes due to dermatitis caused by PPD and other harsh chemicals in synthetic dyes. The good news is that I don't get a bad reaction with natural dyes like this one. The bad news is that the results aren't as good. Try as I might, I couldn't get rid of the slight purplish tinge to my beard. Experimented with their Organic Base product and with different timings but to no avail. The problem is that both these products contain BOTH henna AND indigo and in fixed ratios. To solve the purple tinge problem, you need to increase the henna to indigo exposure ratio. The solution therefore is to apply only henna and only indigo separately. Unfortunately this takes a lot longer but the result is a natural looking black (I have a coarse beard with 80% of my hairs white). For me, 2h of henna followed by 45min of indigo does the trick. The product I use is It's Pure Organics - they do a combo bag of both dyes separate.

I've been living with this product for nearly a month now and it has yet to produce the desired results so I've returned for a full refund. Before purchasing I had read the reviews, and was aware of some people claiming the product turned beards shades of purple or green. I delved deeper and visited the suppliers own website where a solution was offered, in the form of a base colour product, which would neutralize any unwated colours. There was also reassurance, in their FAQs, that I could contact supplier for advise, should this happen. Armed with this info I purchased the black dye and an additional colour base. I followed instructions to the letter for the first 2 weeks and every attempt resulted in a purple (plum) coloured beard. In poor lighting conditions it was a deep plum colour, noticeable, but only at close quarters. In direct sunlight or bright conditions, it looked absolutely ridiculous from near or far. Tried adjusting application and timings for both base colour and black dye but result was always the same. Contacted supplier twice asking for further advice, both times ignored. The poor reviews are real and reflect the reality of using this product, good reviews could be questionable in my opinion. I understand the appeal if you have an allergy to chemical dyes but I'd honestly encourage you to look elsewhere for a natural solution. Do not make the same mistake I did, this product is a waste of time and money. You have been warned.

Es gibt das Mittel in vier verschiedenen Farbvarianten. Jeder Bart reagiert anders auf das Mittel. Daher muss man ein bisschen herumprobieren. Ähnlich wie bei einem ungefärbten Bart bleibt der Bart nach dem Färben ein bisschen uneinheitlich. So ist auch bei der Farbe "schwarz" nicht ein pechschwarzer Bart zu erwarten, wie es bei synthetischen Mitteln der Fall ist. Das Ergebnis wirkt dadurch natürlicher. Die Reaktion des Barts auf das Mittel ist nicht vorhersehbar. Daher sollte der Erstanwender das Mittel möglichst vor einem Wochenende benutzen. Es kann insbesondere bei der schwarzen Variante zu einem leichten Violett- oder Grünstich kommen. Das verliert sich bei wiederholter Anwendung. Es ist oft besser, zunächst eine hellere Farbe zu verwenden, z. B. Hell- oder Mittelbraun. Zudem kann man die einzelnen Farben auch mischen, z. B. ein Teelöffel schwarz und zwei Teelöffel dunkelbraun. Außerdem sollte man sich darüber im Klaren sein, dass das Mittel mindestens einmal in der Woche angewandt werden sollte, um abrupte Farbwechsel zu meiden.

Es un producto que da un toque de color a la barba muy natural. El procedimiento es un poco engorroso (media hora de actuación un producto y media hora de actuación el otro) pero el resultado es bueno y no produce ningún tipo de reacción alérgica. El olor del producto puede resultar algo desagradable, pero aguanta bastante tiempo y, como digo, no queda artificial...

Enfin un produit naturel,qui irrite pas la peau. Magnifique, super ! Suivez bien les consignes a la lettre ! J'ai vu quelques commentaires négatif, faut vraiment pas négliger les recommandations prescrit dans la notice. C'est une teinture par oxydation Donc contrairement à une teinture chimique, celle si s'intensifie sous 1 ou 2 jour. J'adore!! Tendu ultra naturel.
