Worked great to recover data from SSD on crashed computer
Title. Simple to install SSD from crashed computer and explore files using Windows. Two gotchas - the screws are tiny, and I wish there were a LED to tell you if it is getting power. Edit: Used it for a second SSD and works great. May need to play with changing permissions to view SSD main drive from another computer. There IS an LED to tell if there is power.

It is working well.
The enclosure is nice–very slim. But the 2-TB SSD in this enclosure, by Silicon Power, failed on its first use. At first, I thought it could not be recovered. However, I discovered that it was due to overheating, not to a defect in the drive. Using AOMEI Partition Assistant, I was able to revive it. It is being used right now to make a clone of my C: (Windows 11) drive.

Working great
This work just fine for me. I mounted SSD's in them to use portable storage. Better than flash drives for the purpose. I don't need to keep swapping the ssd's inside, so the simple catch holddown instead of the tiny screw is sufficient.

Faster Than My Midnight Snack Run
If James Bond ever needed to smuggle top-secret data out of MI6, I’m pretty sure he’d use this UGREEN M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure. Sleek, sturdy, and faster than me running to the fridge at midnight, this little gadget is a lifesaver. Setup? Easy. You don’t need a degree in rocket science—or even to Google “how to install an SSD.” Just slide your NVMe in, click it shut, and boom: instant pocket-sized warp drive. The 10Gbps transfer speeds are no joke—I dragged a folder so big it could’ve contained my entire embarrassing LimeWire history, and it was done before I had time to make coffee. The aluminum casing keeps everything cool, and it’s slim enough to slip into a pocket without looking like I’m smuggling Pop-Tarts. Plus, it feels solid—like I could throw it across the room during a rage-quit gaming session, and it would still come back asking if I had more files to transfer. In short: this enclosure turns any NVMe into a portable powerhouse. If your external hard drive feels like a slow donkey, this thing is a rocket ship. Highly recommend!

Fails with my new NVMe SSD
It does not work. It failed to maintain connection during formatting of my new NVME SSD. Upon connecting the USB cable, Windows does recognized there is a "UGREEN device", but when I enter Disk Management trying to format the disk, the formatting keep failing. Even using command line tool it failed, saying that the USB device failed to maintain connection. After reinstalling, re-plugging, switching to different USB-C socket, the error persist. I thought I might have a bad SSD. Eventually I found another enclosure I already had and swap my new NVME SSD to the old enclosure, then everything works properly!! It is this UGREEN drive that doesn't work properly. It appears that the enclosure cannot properly handle the load when during merely a quick format job for a new SSD. I'm not sure it's the bridge chip or power circuitry that is at fault, but it just doesn't work for my NVME SSD, wasting me time debugging. I would like to recommend you to stay away from this enclosure and find a more robust option else where.

Good Buy
Worked like a charm with an older M2 that I was replacing in my desktop. They even provided a new mounting screw.
