Fantastic take. Will definitely hold up. Stainless steel and so is the hardware. I recommend using LocTite on the screws from the cage to the handle. We use it to find sharks teeth. Works well!

I use it every time I go to the beach and catch my own sand fleas and ghost crabs for fishing bait. Put the bait on a pompano rig, throw into the surf and catch a wide variety of game fish. Saves me a bunch of money at the bait shop.

3 stars is fair. PROS: Works. CONS: Works but not as intended. The handle in the middle flexes which is terrible when trying to scoop up sand fleas in heavy wet sand resulting in you having to grip the metal half way down the shaft to gain any sort of real leverage which is a hassle because it defeats the purpose of having the handle to begin with...The very top handle also doesn't stay on but I suppose that can be fixed with heavy duty glue or a bolt and as far as the basket itself goes I really have no complaints at all as I added clear zip ties to it to avoid any stress points to the basket. So all and all 3 stars is fair as the product does work and I caught what I needed but understand that it'll be more of a hassle then it needs to be but can be modified if need be. I personally would suggest just getting a higher quality rake and just spend the extra money if you can afford it but if not and you're a bit handy then this will certainly work much better with some modifications.

I was so glad I found this. Now I see many people using them on the beach. It is easy to assemble and carry. It makes for a great gift for people who surf fish

I just got this sand flea rake, and while I haven’t had the chance to take it to the beach yet (thanks to winter!), I can already tell it’s going to be a great tool. The assembly was super easy, and it feels sturdy but lightweight, making it easy to handle. The basket is wide with sharp teeth, so I expect it’ll do a great job sifting through the sand when the warmer weather arrives. I’m really looking forward to testing it out for gathering bait and maybe even finding some small shells. So far, I’m impressed with the quality, and I’ll update my review once I get to use it. Can’t wait for beach season!
