Desoldered 120 pins in 45 minutes. It out performed my butane iron hands down.
I had to replace 30 buttons on a hand held controller with 4 pins on each button. The controller is 30+ years old so th nsolder didn't want to melt. I started with a butane iron and a solder sucker. I couldn't move the iron out of the way and the solder sucker on top of the pin before the solder turned solid again. Next I used the butane iron and a desoldering wick. I couldn't get the solder molten enough to get absorbed by the wick. A butane soldering iron heats up to about the same as a 75 watt electric iron. I switched to a 100 watt soldering gun but the tip was too big to get right on the solder joint. I have a 30 year old Weller desoldering station but unfortunately it sat in my tool cabinet too long and no longer works. I searched Amazon for desoldering stations and found similar stations that cost around $130.00 then came across this one for $40.00. The reviews on it made the durability sound questionable. It puts out the same heat as a 110 watt iron and was available for delivery the next day so I took a chance on it. I spent 45 minutes getting the first button out with my tools. I spent 45 minutes getting the other 29 buttons out with this desoldering iron. I was impressed at how well it worked and don't question it's durability at all. It desoldered 120 pins in 45 minutes and shows no signs of wear or the plastic housing getting brittle. It is well worth the money and performs better than I expected.

Helpful, efficient de-soldering iron
This one has proved to be a great buy. I work a lot with putting together single board computers for “vintage“ computing; think 8-bit CPU’s. Sometimes I make mistakes, sometimes I need to re-do things on the boards. Using this desoldering iron helps me remove components from the boards real fast. The iron melts and sucks the solder very efficiently. The boards do not get damaged and I can re-solder components without any trouble. Keep in mind that the iron gets extremely hot, so think “safety first” when you heat it up, when using it and when you unplug it and put it away.

– Excellent Performance, But Missing a Crucial Switch
The YIHUA 929D‑V performs extremely well. It heats quickly, stays consistently hot, and because of that, I’ve never had it clog—not once. It includes three different tip sizes, and each one does an excellent job pulling solder from through‑hole components. It’s especially effective at clearing solder that gets trapped deep inside plated holes, which is where many tools struggle. This would easily be a 5‑star product if it had one simple feature: an on/off switch. Because it lacks one, I accidentally left it powered on overnight. The unit stayed hot, and I didn’t realize it until I found that it had burned through the straps of my magnifying glasses that were resting on top of it. To prevent this from happening again, I ended up cutting the power cable and installing a 120V switch myself so I can turn it off without unplugging it every time. Aside from that design oversight, the tool is fantastic and absolutely worth the money. Strong suction, reliable heat, and great performance for through‑hole desoldering.
