Simple, strong with everything included. Easy to bait and assemble.
Very easy to set up. Use gloves when handling the box and bait. The rats are very sensitive to human smells. I have had it up and the rats have already been nibbling. The entrance holes are of a good size. Bigger than a chipmunk body. Please make sure you check for the keys and metal bars. There was one for each box (6 total) but rattling around in the shipping box. Practice with the key first.Note: Description should read: The security lock can be removed if you DON'T have children or pets at home.

This thing works!
This is the absolute best rat killing tool I've ever bought.I used to have no rats. Then suddenly rats love my shed. The lived under the floor and didn't bother anything... then they ate the floor and got in the shed and pooped all over my lawn mower. Then they attacked my truck wires and caused $2000 in damage while I was putting peanut butter on mouse traps trying to catch them. I'd get 1 every 3 weeks or so. The problem is they reproduce faster than that and didn't seem too interested in peanut butter or cheese or pretzels or popcorn or bread or sugar or anything I put in the mouse traps. Then I watched a YouTube video with these things and bought the warfarin cubes. Those actually work. Set it and forget it. Wait about 4 days initially so they don't smell you anymore. Then you're going to find all your bait is gone and you keep refilling it until the bait isn't gone. I've killed 7 rats in 4 days that I know of. Probably some more dead ones on my neighbors property. And there is no way for my 4 month old puppy to get into it (we still watch her closely just in case) but she is curious about everything in this world and doesn't seem to even care about this box being by the shed. Its gotten to the point I have to replace the warfarin cubes daily. I can't wait to be done with the rats and declare total victory when nothing eats the bait for a week.

Did the job
These have been pretty effective. We saw signs that some type of rodent was digging under the slab that has all of the pool equipment on it. This set off alarm bells because if those rodents start chewing on wires, you could be looking at some very expensive repair bills. So, I bought 2 of these traps plus a bucket of J.T. Eaton 704-PN Bait Blocks (the peanut butter flavored ones) and that seemed to be very effective. After a couple of weeks, I no longer saw fresh tunneling activity near the pool equipment. I leave the bait traps unlocked, so not sure if the locking mechanism would change my rating. Even with them being unlocked, they are sometimes a little difficult to open. Lastly, I always wear rubber gloves when handling these traps and the bait. Not sure if it's true or not, but the prevailing advice on the internet is that by wearing gloves, you prevent your smell from transferring on to the trap and bait which may cause the rodents to not take the bait. Like I said, not sure if that is true or not, but I wore gloves and it seemed to be effective it taking care of this issue. All in all, Im happy with this purchase.

Good box at a good price!
I like these bait stations. I've had a couple around the house for about a year or so now. Durability seems to be great. I personally tossed the "key" - they're easy enough to open without it (and I'd lose it anyway). I can confirm that rats have no problem entering the box and eating the bait. Bait seems to stay in the box fairly well, but the little stakes in the box may not work the greatest with block bait - I tried them and the bait just crumbled. Regardless there are some small "walls" that keep the bait in place anyway. They come assembled - so that's not issue. The overall size of the box is good - small enough to be tucked back and somewhat hidden but plenty big enough to hold bait and allow rats to easily enter. These also had the best price on Amazon - we want a box that will hold bait effectively and be resistant to other animals (or kids) opening. This box does that at the lowest price point on Amazon.

Excellent value!
Easy to use, perfect size for mice OR rats. Comes with a key for each box but they are all the same so if you lose one another will work. Excellent value for the money. Way cheaper than using a pest control service.

Not complete a bait station
The box is fine and the key to lock the top works fine but this is not a COMPLETE rodent bait stati9n as it does not include any BAIT! How can you call it a complete system without the main ingredient!?!

Highly effective
I bought these traps for my garage after we cleaned it up and discovered rodents. We left it overnight and surprisingly it caught a small mice. They were easy to set up and hide out of sight.

Well made product
Sturdy boxes and large enough for the shoe size rats. Spot to put bait can be customized for different types of bait not just the type shown in ad.
