can the pie dish go directly frim freezer to oven?

The answer is YES it can go from the freezer to the over directly. Since you are most likely reheating or cooking a grenade item, I usually place the pie dish on the lower rack and than turn on the oven. A note, don't start your cooking timer until the oven reaches full temperature. I also use a meat thermometer to make sure it is heated clear through when working from frozen. I hope this helps.
