Great camera, easy to install. Solar panel is discreet and also easy to install with the long wire it comes with. Picture quality is great. Never runs out of power as long as you set the detection right. Light comes on at night if person is detected too. Software seems really reliable. Highly recommend.

Price at review: £74.99 On the face of it this is a really good camera, it has good quality images, the night vision and range is great. It has a cute little face and it pans and tilts inquisitively and has a wide range of movement. It is absolutely packed full of features and especially useful is the human detection which is so much better than pure motion detection because it only kicks off when someone is actually near your property. It also has a cool follow mode where it turns to follow whoever is in the frame to let them fully know they are being recorded. Optionally it also can turn on its glowing headlight eyes and make an alarm sound if you want. The solar is awesome and the cable is long enough that I could mount the camera on one side of the house and the panel on the south facing wall. So far the battery is staying up in the 90% range. So why am I not giving this 5 stars? The first thing I don't like is that it sends everything over the internet via the manufacturers servers and it doesn't use encryption while it is doing this either. Even when you are on the same WiFi network as your camera it sends everything out of your broadband router to the server and then back again so you can see it. Most of the advanced features require a subscription. I would prefer to be able to use it without logging in or having to have a subscription and just use it on my WiFi directly. If the manufacturer goes out of business it will likely become completely useless overnight. The second problem is that even with the motion detection turned off and the human detection turned on, it still reacts to movement and pans and tilts to look at it. This means when it is, for example, raining or leaves are moving in the wind then it is constantly moving trying to see something. I would prefer to be able to have it locked in one position until it sees a human and only then follow them with the panning. This also would save a lot of wasted battery. Plus while mine is looking at the trees waving in the wind it could miss the person down below... I have another camera from another manufacturer which works exactly like this and that makes so much more sense to me.

It's a very effective camera with several good features. However the solar panel to charge it is next to useless and the battery is depleted far too often. I've had to get the ladder out to use a power block to charge it on many occasions. It's on a south facing wall. I don't recommend it on this basis.

The camera comes nicely packaged with all the parts necessary to install. Camera, brackets, cables, a template and instructions. Using the parts supplied I was able to mount the camera into the brick exterior of the rear of my house to overlook the garden. The small solar panel features a gimbal to allow you to angle the panel appropriately. This was somewhat fiddly. I charged the camera fully before installation. I purchased a ‘fast’ 64gb micro SD to use the camera locally. The instructions are written in a tiny font and there’s a great deal of details about various specifications being met etc. Although I didn’t find the printed instructions of how to get going particularly clear. In essence, download the app, sign up for an account. Then, pair the app to the camera. There’s a barcode on the base of the camera itself and also on a sticker on the instruction leaflet. Knowing that these things work on 2.4g WiFi is useful to know when setting things up. The app is full of prompts to sign up for the subscription service. This made it quite difficult to navigate. My other security camera offered sufficient ‘free’ functions to satisfy my needs so I thought this would be the same. To operate subscription free,best off buying a micro SD card. Initially I had difficulty formatting the SD card but then settled down. I found it hard to find the ‘live’ feed. From that screen, you could take a snapshot, record video and activate an alarm or the ‘floodlights’. There are settings for sensitivity etc. I set it for maximum range and sensitivity and to detect humans. Videos recorded when it detected movement I found choppy The app will pump you notifications when the camera is triggered. I did quite like that in the recording of the neighbour’s cat, the camera did track it for so long. It’s difficult to know if the solar panel is working properly. The app tells me there’s little sunshine reaching the panel. This is after two days of clear skies, positioned with a clear line of sight to a southern aspect. During its first night of operation the camera made no recordings or showed any trigger alarms. The point and tilt function’s tricky to operate and a bit slow for a camera at this price level. It is possible to download the image/videos from the camera/SD card but I didn't feel intuitive on how to do it. The calibration function seems odd. It would swing all the way to one side, but not the other. There were a lot of messages saying the camera was restricted in some way but wasn’t. I would describe the functions as adequate at best I did manage to pair my device with my Amazon echo show and you can pair with it Google. Overall, the hardware seems fine. The software, somewhat lacking in terms of sensitivity, set up and operation.

Pour sécuriser notre domicile campagnard, j'ai fait l'acquisition de trois de ces petites merveilles ! Petit prix mais de grandes qualités. Je connaissais déjà la marque pour avoir acheté un autre modèle d'intérieur, pour avoir un oeil sur mes chiens. Facile à installer, facile à régler, app intuitive, très efficace avec ses (très nombreux) paramètres personnalisables et qualité vidéo au top... même la nuit. Un achat malin, un achat intelligent pour tout propriétaire qui souhaite garder un oeil sur sa propriété. Grand plus, possibilité de faire se déclencher spot éclairant et hurleur en cas d'intrusion et pouvoir parler à distance avec ses visiteurs. N'oubliez pas la carte mémoire pour sauvegarder vidéos et photos. Et pour finir, aucun raccord électrique...on charge la caméra avant l'installation et ensuite, le soleil fait le reste ! Excellent produit que je recommande.

Una experiencia muy buena con esta marca , compré 5 cámaras y quedé muy contento con el funcionamiento y facilidad de instalación, app intuitiva y agradable al uso , si es verdad que tiene funciones de pago aunque yo no las uso ni es imprescindible hacerlo , la calidad de imagen y funcionamiento general es de 10 ! . He vuelto a comprar 6 cámaras más de esta marca tanto de exterior como solar y interior y seguramente repetiré , a veces vale la pena pagar un poco más y tener un producto de calidad como este .

Super Solar Kamera! Wir haben bereits zwei andere Aussenkameras von Imou im Einsatz und sind total begeistert. Für die eine Hauswand und den hinteren Teil des Gartens wollen wir auch noch eine Kameralösung, es war aber leider keine Steckdose in der Nähe und so haben wir uns für diese entschieden. Die Installation war super einfach, die Bedienung ist simple und auch das einstellen des Alarmbereichs hat super geklappt. Immer wieder gerne. ☺️

Superbe produit fonctionne très très bien facile à installer

Il giorno prima di installare questa videocamera ne ho messa un'altra di marca diversa (con cui mi trovo benissimo da anni) con alimentazione normale. Causa corrugato nel muro messo malissimo ho perso due ore per riuscire a installarla. Questa videocamera l'ho messa in una ventina di minuti (ho voluto perdere tempo per adattare una cassetta di derivazione come si vede in foto). Già solo questo mi fa pentire di non aver scoperto prima questa videocamera. L'installazione è davvero super veloce e basta avere l'accortezza di mettere il pannello solare al sole (ed ovviamente di controllare che venga sempre rispettata la privacy dei vicini. Le videocamere di tipo dome se si hanno i vicini sbagliati possono essere fonte di innumerevoli problemi). Son settimane che la sto usando ed incredibilmente la batteria è sempre carica (temevo fosse troppo piccola per il tipo di cam). Possiedo da tanti anni parecchie videocamere sia imou sia ezviv sia qualche Blink (avevo anche altre marche meno note che ho provveduto a togliere). Per me, dopo tanti anni che uso videocamere sia da interno che esterno, imou ed ezviv son le marche top. Tuttavia i prodotti imou hanno un posizionamento di prezzo incredibilmente aggressivo che permette di comprare a prezzi molto bassi delle videocamere a dir poco ottime (mi domando come facciano a venderle a così poco anche perché uso cam di questa marca da tanti anni e non hanno mai dato problemi). Possiedo già da parecchi mesi altre cam imou solari ma questo modello in particolare è di un livello superiore. Ha una visione notturna eccellente e soprattutto le ottiche permettono di vedere in modo estremamente nitido fino a una distanza di 20 metri (altri modelli solari si fermano a 10). Personalmente son rimasto stupito di quanto sia nitida la visione a distanza con questa videocamera: si riescono anche a superare i 20 metri (perdendo solo un po' di nitidezza). Per chi ha un po' di esperienza di cam saprà che con i modelli con alimentazione tradizionale si riesce a vedere tranquillamente oltre i 30 metri ma per una videocamera solare avere simili prestazioni è davvero sconvolgente. Praticamente è come avere una videocamera con alimentazione tradizionale ma senza dover fare lunghe e a volte complicate installazioni. Ovviamente è sempre bene ricordare che si tratta di una videocamera solare e non nasce né può essere usata (soprattutto nelle ore notturne) nella modalità registrazione continua (opzione che è presente nell'ottimo software di gestione). Ho provato anche ad usare questa modalità ma nel giro di qualche ora la videocamera esaurisce la batteria. Tuttavia risulta abbastanza inutile la sorveglianza h24 ed anche usandola con la modalità ad alte prestazioni (ed impostandola in modo che registri anche piccoli movimenti) messa in un giardino con decine di registrazioni al giorno (per provarla son arrivato ad oltre quaranta in meno di 24 ore) la batteria della videocamera non mi ha mai abbandonato (batteria mai scesa sotto il 75% nonostante ci siano stati parecchi giorni con pochissime ore di sole e pioggia continua). Purtroppo non mi servono altre videocamere e quest'anno ho provveduto a cambiare quasi tutte quelle che avevo ma sto seriamente pensando di toglierne qualcuna con alimentazione tradizionale (ne ho un paio molto vecchie ancora in HD) e installarne altre di questo modello. Si risparmia tempo e denaro (forse non sembra ma, soprattutto in case grandi, alimentare tante videocamere incide sulla bolletta della luce) senza rinunciare alla qualità ed affidabilità. Tra l'altro questa videocamera ha anche un'ottima ricezione wifi per cui son riuscito a metterla in un angolo del giardino senza problemi. Straconsigliata.
