Everything I’ve made is delicious and I’ve made a lot of the recipes. I like that the recipes call for things I have on hand like veggies, fruit, beans, and brown rice. It’s not asking me to buy vegan mayonnaise or other pre made products like other vegan cookbooks I unfortunately bought. Some recipes call for tofu. I might try them in the future. Right now I’m not interested in using tofu. I love the soups and stews. I’ve made the quick breads, one muffin recipe and one cookie recipe. All excellent. I don’t use raw cane sugar so I substituted for that. That’s the only thing I didn’t like but that is so minor and easy to switch up. I now make my own baked corn chips too! Thanks to the simple instructions found in the book. I also love the beautiful color pictures of the food! It makes me want to try the recipe. The pictures are very inviting. I can’t say enough about this cookbook. I highly recommend it!!!

Beautiful book!
Being new to WFPB, and married to a chef, I haven’t cooked very much in the last 30 years. But, seeing this book..I think I’ll get back to it. Thank you for sharing these beautiful recipes. The pictures make my mouth water!

Love this cookbook!!!
This is my go to cookbook for WFPB. Everything I’ve made is delicious and I’ve made a lot of the recipes. I like that the recipes call for things I have on hand like veggies, fruit, beans, and brown rice. Awesome cookbook
One of the best cookbooks if not the best that I’ve ever gone through. There are so many recipes I would like to try. The book as well thought out with beautiful pictures of each recipe. No need to be vegan or vegetarian, but if you are, this is definitely the book for you.

Great cookbook and mostly great recipes, but ...
I've been veg for about 17 years and thrilled that I've finally transitioned to the Whole Foods Plant Based (WFPB) way of eating (Ornish, McDougall, Esselstyn, Fuhrman and T. Colin Campbell to name a few great doctors / researchers). This is a compassionate way of eating for those of us who are vegan and want a healthful diet, or just a healthful diet for others who are not vegan. This is a great cookbook with mostly great recipes but I don't understand the use of sugar ("cane sugar") in some recipes in this book. Apart from that, I enjoy using this cookbook and find most of the recipes interesting, well-formulated, tasty and well-suited to a WFPB way of eating. As for the few recipes with sugar, I find that I'm still able to use those but I omit the sugar, or use substitutes that I prefer. I highly recommend this wonderful cookbook to anyone interested in a WFPB lifestyle. I'd give it 4 1/2 stars if I could!

Another great whole food plant based cookbook with easy to follow recipes. With many cookbooks the is always my go to.

Better than a Betty Crocker Cookbook, if trying to eat heathlier
This cookbook is very similar in format to "The Brain Warrior's Way Cookbook" in that there are approximately 20 photos of the author's face/body/hands in it. Again, I have to ask why? It's not about you LeAnne or is it? I guess this is my pet peeve. I cannot understand why authors are doing this other than to brag. As far as the recipes go, I have only looked at most the ingredient lists and noticed some I haven't heard of and wonder where in the grocery store can I find them. One recipe is simple spin-off of plain spaghetti, really! I won't totally dupe this book but she uses wheat flour which if you've read "Wheat Belly" by William Davis, MD this book will make you think twice.

A great update on an already brilliant cook book
I misplaced the original book after a house move, so figured I would buy the updated version to replace it with. It's a nice update with some nice new recipes, to what was already a really good cook book for whole food plant based recipes to begin with. Hopefully this one lasts me even longer than the original one, which I had for 10 years before losing it. Very pleased with my purchase.

Excellent tasting healthy recipes
We have made several recipes from the book so far and have enjoyed them a great deal! Our favourites are the recipe for fettuccini with broccoli and white sauce, the squash Mac and cheese recipe and the sauces!! The recipes are creative and healthy and don’t include oil. I highly recommend this book to my friends and family!! The recipes are easy and do not contain difficult to find ingredients!
