As floss goes, this does the job perfectly well. My dentist has always advised flossing downwards and never pulling the floss back up between the teeth just slide it out from the bottom gaps to avoid damage and this works well for that technique. The packaging includes a built in cutter, so it’s easy to cut the exact length you need. It’s also compact, making it handy to keep in a handbag or pocket for everyday use.

Good floss works well

I used this brand of floss for years and always found it to be the best, a smooth glide between teeth and didn't often shred. However, they have recently 'improved' the product and I have to agree with some of the reviewers. It now has a 'rough' feeling and is wider/thicker than it was. If you have a good space between your teeth then you may be ok but if not then it is difficult to get this between. You need more force than previously which risks damaging your gums. And when you come to pull it away it certainly tests the strength of your roots and it does not surprise me that one of the reviews reports part of a filling coming out. If you have anything like a loose crown then this would certainly let you know that it needed replacing. A real pity about the change, if they went back to the old formula I would happily start using it again.

Bought this floss to use as a kitchen helper for cutting soft items like cakes and cheeses. It's great for that and affordable.

Does what it says from a brand you can trust

This appears to be the old good floss Colgate makes but...it's not. The seller is probably unaware the new floss is completely inferior and with a slightly different graphics design. It's advertised as the old one, as in photo on the left, but it's the completely new one that was sent to me. It's, as other reviews have stated, totally awful. The old floss was soft texture and went in-between your teeth smoothly. This new stock is like the wire Robert Shaw used to try and slay Sean Connery in James bond, it's rough and sad. After so many negative reviews from dissatisfied customers I wonder will Colgate rectify the fault? Please do!

This is the only floss I can use. It is thin but sturdy. Great for teeth with small gaps.
