A weaponized slab of foam that could support a suspension bridge.
We all know the sheer, agonizing misery of middle-of-the-night insomnia. You lie there staring blankly at the ceiling, trapped inside a brain that insists on pondering deeply philosophical questions. Why does vanilla extract smell like absolute heaven but taste like a profound personal betrayal? Is lasagne just a highly sophisticated spaghetti cake? In fact, as I sit here typing this very review, it is precisely midnight, and I am wide awake. A few months ago, in a desperate bid to cure this nocturnal madness, I bought the TEMPUR Prima Medium Pillow. I was chasing that legendary, coma-like deep sleep. The kind where you finally wake up at 11 AM with strange, geometric grid marks pressed into your face, completely unaware of what year it is or what country you are currently residing in. What arrived, however, is not a normal pillow. First of all, it is astonishingly heavy. If you were to engage in a casual bedroom pillow fight with this thing, you wouldn't just win; you would straight-up knock your opponent completely unconscious with a single swipe. It is also remarkably hard. My partner has almost the exact same TEMPUR pillow—albeit the fancy version with cooling magic reserved for the exceptionally picky—and theirs is a blissfully soft, cloud-like dream. Mine, by contrast, behaves less like bedding and more like infrastructure. It certainly supports your neck, but in the exact same way a massive concrete pillar supports a suspension bridge. I am reasonably confident you could use this pillow to hold up a motorway bypass. Now, the price tag is undeniably steep. But you absolutely cannot accuse TEMPUR of short-changing you on the stuffing. It is so brutally overpacked that I’ve seen other buyers online complaining about it. But honestly, what is the alternative? Would you rather have a giant, dense block of foam, or one of those pathetic, limp rags of cloth containing exactly seven disgruntled feathers that spend the entire night ceaselessly poking you in the eye? It is comfortable, but in a very specific, stubborn sort of way. It reminds me entirely of a dictatorial Shih Tzu. It loves you, but only on its own strict terms, spending the vast majority of its time staring at you as if you are invading its personal space. And that is exactly what using this pillow feels like. You do not sink into it; you actively invade its territory. As you can probably deduce from the fact that I am writing this in the dead of night, it hasn't exactly cured my insomnia. It is not a magical portal to dreamland. But strangely, it isn't terrible either. I’ve grown oddly fond of its stubborn, blocky flaws, and there is something reassuring about its sheer weight. Just do yourself a favor: keep it far away from any playful bedroom pillow fights, or you will almost certainly end up on the evening news.

Good quality but pricey, heavy and firm
These are very thick and heavy pillows so make sure that’s the kind you like. It conforms to shape but there isn’t a lot of give in it after that. Very high price relatively too and I now wonder if I’d be better off buying cheaper pillows that don’t last as long.

Excellent quality and comfort
Excellent quality and very well made. Outstanding comfort and as they are memory foam based, they mould to your shape which also helps neck pain. They also keep their normal shape for a very long time. Excellent value for money too

Abit disappointed!
This pillow seems as if the filling is not evenly spread out. The corners and one edge lack any filling at all! Ive have a Tempur pillow that I bought a couple of yrs ago- its been amazing for my neckache so thought I'd treat my partner to one! Im so disappointed as the quality, weight and distribution of filling is not as good! Having said that he hasn't slept on it yet so we will see!

It is not comfortable!
It is soft, and I did not feel comfortable; I still have neck pain. It's a waste of money.
