Has anyone found that this has helped reduce or remove reliance on the original Otrivine for people who have become regular users of the original ?

How many sprays do you get per bottle?

The bottle contains 20ml of liquid very effective in clearing a blocked nose. You will need a laboratory to measure the small amount of liquid in a single spray action . Good luck

Can it be used on a flight to keep germs away?

Never really considered that. Although, as this is not antiseptic i doubt it would help. I always try and breathe very lightly in through my nose and out through my mouth in places like hospitals as i'm a germaphobe as well, but on a long plane journey i think you're at the mercy of luck. They say that using the air conditioning on in a plane makes contagion worse because it recycles the cabin air but you'd think they'd have hepa filters or something. I doubt they'd cut they're profits for our sake though buy installing expensive filters but on the plus side they don't like engaging the air-con as it costs more in fuel like with a car.As for this product, i love it. It doesn't do very much but it's very gentle and can be used to deliver a pleasant dose of mintyness to the proceedings as often as you like. Salt water, which is the main bulk of the fluid is a natural decongestant as you'll notice if you swim in the sea. This product is not a steroid based spray which although more effective in the short term, is ultimately a dead end street if over-used, eventually making matters worse in my experience. Otrivine is perhaps pricey but seems to last for ages and has a great dispenser. I've bought 3 bottles over time and wouldn't want to be without it when i'm a bit blocked up.Recommended if just because it's quite pleasant, its unlikely to make things worse i feel, but it won't perform miracles. I like it anyway, but if you want germ protection on a plane i think a face fitted mask would be your only option. Or a private jet.
