How are you disengaging the magnet just by pulling it off?

This tool lasted me a week. Yes, you just pull it. Made out of plastic, by pulling, eventually will break.

Actual travel is only .05 of an inch. This is a .0001 indicator. Most 1" indicators are .001(less accuracy but more travel).

Does this indicator come with other backs for mounting to mini height gage

No, it does not. Actually, to get the extra back for mounting to mini height gage, you can buy the indicator and the magnetic back separately. Try to search "P900-S102" and "EG08-1605". Buy those two items. You can get an extra back. Thanks.

Is the dial pretty smooth or does it seem to drag and get "jerky"?

If your talking about the outer bezel to set zero some are smooth some drag a little, try a drop of oil 90 degrees apart and turn the bezel see if that helps.

I have other Accusize products and this is the first one with an issue. The stem sticks past 1” bur can be pulled out easily. Called Accusize and within 30 seconds Allen said it was defective and a new one will be shipped to me. Easy button

Dial indicator Doesn't return

Originally I ordered two of these the package arrived opened and only one inside after being on the phone with Amazon to get a refund for the missing item I placed an order for the second dial indicator I just opened it and it doesn't function smoothly or return to base position after being depressed I realize you get what you pay for but I feel like I've been ripped off
