I was surprised how much I like this product. I have very long thick hair, and have had problems with solid shampoo in the past. It takes a second to get the lather going but I found once I had a good foam it worked well. It also lathered much better on the second shampooing (which is usually how it works when I double shampoo). My hair is soft, doesn't have a weird film or residue, and is no more frizzy than it usually is. I can't say it helped with frizz, but it didn't claim to do so either. The smell: A lot of reviews noted the scent of this product and I will admit it is quite strong. I would also place it far closer to "old lady smell" than I usually like my products to go. It isn't White Diamonds old lady, but it is mature smelling. With that being said, the lather smell isn't as strong and most of the pungency from the smell™ washes off when your rinse out the shampoo. (Bonus, the conditioner bar is far less aromatic.) in the end, my hair (thankfully) did not end up smelling like grandma.

I love this brand, but this was the first shampoo and conditioner bar I had bought from them. I love bars because they make travel easy. What I loved about these bars: - The shampoo lathers very well. Whether you smooth it directly on your hair (my preference with the shampoo but not the conditioner), or lather it in your hand, you get good sudsing. I like that a lot. -The shampoo is said to be color-safe and I believe that it is. I use a deposi-only blue color in my hair which can wash out easily. There was no blue in they rinse water, which reassured me my color wasn’t being stripped. —Usage: I find that it's okay/desirravble to rub the shampoo bars straight into your hair for maximum lather. But with conditioner, if you have fine and thin hair, you're better off putting on your hands and then using a praying hands motion to apply. - My hair was soft, but not weighed down. In fact, my fine, thin hair had a lot of body. This is not easy! I loved this. -You really don't need a lot, which means this bar will last a while, making it good value for the money. I can't speak to the other claims of hair growth etc., but I can tell you the shampoo is very effective. I've shown it in the kitsch shampoo and conditioner travel case so you see how that works. All in all, I'd definitely buy again--although it may be a while since the bars last so long!

Took this on a 5 week trip and it lasted the whole time using on hair, body and face. Love it and was gentle enough to use on my toddler, too. Would buy again for travel! Lathers very well and shampoos thoroughly. Doesn’t smell at all, seems like a clean product.

I really like this shampoo, it is good quality and the bar is thick so you get many washes out of it. I normally use fragrance free so I like this has a floral scent but doesn’t have the artificial fragrance. You get a lot out of one wash and I like that it’s foamy when you really wash. Easy to use and I leave it on my wire rack in the shower so it doesn’t get gross. I do think it’s not as strong as other purple shampoos, but it makes sense because it’s natural.

I have tried many different shampoos and even Hairstory for almost a year. And this shampoo bar is my favorite. I have been using it for over a year now and my hair is the most healthy it’s been for a long time. I’ve stopped loosing so much hair and my hair is healthier and thicker. To be fair this bar does not last as long as two bottle of shampoo like its claim. It does lather well and rinse well. It does sometimes leave a waxy film on my scalp but I’ll just use a clarifying shampoo once every three months or so and it takes care of the problem. Maybe it need to use conditioner on my scalp? Bottom line: I prefer this product over Hairstory even and it’s cheaper. It actually gets my hair clean and doesn’t leave it feeling gunky or gross. It also does not turn my grey hair yellow.

I’d like to preface this review by stating that I just recently was turned on to these shampoo and conditioner bars after years of struggling with regular shampoos and conditioners and no matter which ones I use that either made my hair too dry and tingly or they made my hair oily at the roots and flat and then I happen to get the chance to test out another brand which is TOUN28N I was fortunate enough to get to try out one of their shampoo bars, and a conditioner bar, and I fell in love. My hair was never more shiny and bouncy and full of life and beautiful all of a sudden it didn’t have all of the. (because I’m a natural blonde and so I guess shampoo were even residue in it along with the hard water at our house.) brassiness and other aspects of my hair color that just weren’t very flattering and with that said I was completely bold over here. I’ve been alive for 43 years and every time I ever saw a shampoo bar at Ulta or anywhere else I was like “NAH… I wouldn’t even know how to wash long hair with that. I would think that would create quite a big mess or I would not be able to figure out how to get it everywhere. !!” but it’s actually quite a natural process. It just comes to you and it’s super easy to do anyways now onto my review of this specific brand: So after my being so pleased with this other brand, I ran out of the shampoo almost right away I mean with the results I was getting I was wanting to wash my hair every night of the week. I was so excited, but when I got onto Amazon, I looked at the price of that one which isn’t expensive in the big scheme of things, but this one was on sale so I instead purchased this one from this brand KITSCH and I trusted it because I’ve seen them at Ulta. I’ve seen people brag about them and everything else so I figured well I’ve tried the other brand. Let’s try the most famous brand. Now granite I still had two more bars of conditioner bars at home so I did not need to purchase the conditioner too, but I did go ahead and purchase the KITCH purple toning shampoo bar to go with my TOUN28 purple toning conditioning bar the first thing I noticed whenever I got into the shower was how nice the bar smelled. It’s got a very pleasing sent however, with that said everything sort of went downhill after that, it did not lather like the previous soap. It did not foam up or feel nearly as nourishing. I did not know if I clean my hair properly or not. The shape of the bar was not as functional as the round bar that I had previously used this one felt kind of awkward and didn’t make the process very seamless. But I digress I still knew in my mind that I would have the most bouncy, shiny, beautiful blonde hair ever when I got out of the tub and furthermore, I had stopped purchasing my detangler and other leaving products because the TOUN28 shampoo bar and conditioner bar were so good. I didn’t even need detangler anymore, which was mind blowing for me however, when I got out of the bath this night, after using KITSCH, immediately I noticed that my hair felt like straw once more and it was full of tangles and of course I don’t have any detangler because why would I? I was so proud of myself and boy do I regret that. And it just all went downhill from there it’s not that it made my hair greasy because it didn’t, it just didn’t make my hair look or feel very clean and it didn’t do anything great for it and it certainly did not detangler even with the assistance of the TOUN to a bar of conditioner. I’m very sad about this because if this brand had worked the same, then I could save a lot of money every month however, I’ve tried to give it a fair shot. I washed my hair with it exactly 3 times and I kid you not, it looked like I hadn’t washed my hair for three weeks. My hair was stringy straw like oily at the roots. It was my worst nightmare all over again, so I’ve had to part ways with the shampoo bar. With that said, I do believe there are people out there that this will work great for and if you have normal hair, that’s not full of problems like mine. This is probably a great shampoo and conditioner bar for you unfortunately for me and my very finicky hair I need to go back to the more expensive TOUN28 which after I leave this review, I will be purchasing.

These are amazing. That’s it. Hair feel soft and clean and thick and I have a natural soft curl and it doesn’t frizz out. I would recommend these to everyone. I have the shampoo and conditioner specific for curl. With coconut oil. Leaving my hair feeling super healthy.

Fantastic product really makes your hair soft

I have used it a few times and yes it makes the hair feel soft as most shampoos but my hair gets greasy the next day. I have long thin hair and tried it for a few weeks now to see if the scalp needs to adjust but unfortunately no change. I liked the idea of a solid shampoo without all the nasty ingredients but sadly this one does not work for me at all.

Love this shampoo. Takes a while to get used to it but my hair feels thicker and the drain is not clogged with hair as barely any falls out anymore.
