Advanced Knot Board

As a retired surgeon, I have given numerous classes and lectures concerning biology and medicine. Recently, this has included a presentation to H.S. students with an interest in medicine. I believe in the show and tell type or presentation, for which this suture-tying practice board was most useful. As surgery residents many years ago, we used the exact boards from Ethicon. The basics are the same and perfect for practice and demonstration: two converging rubber tubes which approximate tissue tensions, and require practice to tie a secure knot as the separation between the tubes increases; the clear cylinder designed to place a one-handed tie or double one-handed tie down accurately within a confined space (common in surgery); and lastly, a hook for straightforward practice in various tie methods. Highly recommended.

amazing and great way to practice surgical knot tying !

You get what you pay for. No needle driver included just a curved hemostat to suture with. Would not really recommend the suturing instruments. The hand tying kit was better and makes up for it.

Bought this to practice surgery knots in residency. Only really sticks to glass. Unfortunately don’t have a glass table. Tried it on my counter top and also wood table. Decently well built but pointless without it staying in place when I’m trying to practice Ended up getting a Leo Board surgi-gym instead…which is super heavy and doesn’t move around. More expensive but Nice to be able to practice anywhere. Also like the attachments.

I’m in med school and this is a perfect kit to get the hang of suturing! Lots of different sutures to choose from as well as different incisions/ cuts.
