How in the world do you remove the lid? i know i am a klutz but cannot figure it out! thanks. [i read below that the lid keeps coming off! i wish.

I rarely do this unless I'm weighing the portafilter, normally just tare dosing cup from grinder but to remove, the cover has 2 hinges that are only 3/4 if the way around the pin that holds them. If you open the cover just past halfway you should be able to press it straight down. It may be fragile but hasn't broke yet after about 10 times or so. Also never comes off accidentally for me anyways. Hope that helps

Can you use this scale for pour over or drip coffee coffee ?

You technically can! Only issue I could see arising is that the scale surface is very small. So a pot might block the view.

Does this have auto timer feature?

It has an auto-off but the time only starts if you press the timer button. It will not automatically start timing when it detects more weight, like when weighing the pull of an espresso shot.
