Good quality, value for money
Liked the print quality, although these books have font sizes smaller to accomodate the large text corpus. As far as the book goes, its a nice book to read and become a better person.

Seneca's letters
Letters from a Stoic is a great work of Seneca that teaches Stoicism as epistolary format (not traditionally). Regarding the book, it has unique matte contrast, very different than traditional penguin classics. And Paper quality is not good, it rough and cheap

Some great lessons we can all use for life
Lucius Annaeus Seneca was a Roman philosopher. He came from a wealthy family and received his education in Rome. Even though Seneca preached Stoicism, he craved power and held an influential position in the Roman court. He was even tutor to the future emperor of Rome, Nero during that time. He died in exile after having a falling out with Nero in the later years of his life. Letters from a Stoic were written between 63AD to 65AD. These are letters, 124 of them that were sent to Lucilius explaining to him the stoic way of life. These letters cover a variety of topics, like friendship, love, health, death and developing our inner selves. Though they were written years ago, most of his teachings hold true even today. It is like Seneca has written something timeless for all humans. He seems very ahead of his time with his views on the treatment of slaves. He believed that integrity of character is an important virtue that will take any man far. The importance of living in the present moment as much as possible, since ruminating on the past does nobody any good and worrying about the future either since it hasn’t happened yet. I highly recommend this read to anyone who loves books on philosophy and life. Parts of it might seem like a drag, but there are hidden gems of wisdom throughout this read.

Last Book I want to read Before I die
Hands down this is the best book I have ever read, and which has the most impact on me. This book introduced me to the philosophy of "Stoicism". Every letter written in it is a gem and full of wisdom that just smacks on your face, at the time of writing this review, it has been 2 years, since I'm reading this book, and I just keep re-reading it again & again so that I can really implement the sayings in the book, if you have to read just one book, I highly implore you to read this one. Reading this book is one of the best thing I have ever done in my life, and I have purchased it thrice, gave the first two copy to friends :)

Penguin did not do Justice to Senca.
The copy was good and the translation was smooth and easy to grasp, but many of the letters were missing, about 80 of them. There are 124 letters, but only 44 of them are in this book, and they are all scattered. Ex- the 1st letter itself is missing, the books starts with letter 2. And many more letters in the middle are missing as well. Would not recommend this particular edition, but if you can find a compleat edition then this is a must read. Classic and timeless Stoic advice.

Conhecer as obras desses autores, é elevar a racionalidade, o pragmatismo e a resiliência.

If you haven't read Seneca...
An introduction to stoicism through the eyes of Seneca. This book opened my eyes to an alternative way of perceiving the world and living with accepting what comes along (not every thing, but you learn how much one can really bear if one just stops complaining). This book is about philosophy and life. I would recommend it.

A true gem of a book
The book came in perfect condition and just as pictured. The words contained inside are truly life changing. To hear the teachings of Seneca and how even during his time people struggled with the same problems and challenges we face even today. This book has truly impacted my life for the better. If you’re thinking of buying the book, i would recommend don't think and just do it. The words written inside it, if applied to your life can truly change your life for the better.

The original Stoic
Another high-quality penguin classics book. It is a nice size for your shoulder bag although some might think the text is a little bit small. This is the original book on stoicism. There are many people in the present day who are basically just rewriting this and publishing new books. Don’t even bother with that new stuff. Stick to the original.
