Okay here comes my review on Rode NT1A- 5 stars for the mic. Important points- What else do you need to use this mic ? - A usb audio interface ( phantom powered ) , Laptop and recording software. What is expected from a microphone - A microphone is required to produce a good and strong output with lowest noise and hiss.Rode NT1a is the best microphone in terms of self noise. Self Noise - What many people don’t know while buying a mic is always check the equivalent noise or self noise of a microphone. If it is less than 8db, it will be a very silent microphone in terms of noise and hiss. You can record high volume audio signal with literally no self noise. For making acoustic covers low self noise is very important. If you compare any other microphone at this price range or any starting price range of say Rs 5000 you will notice that no one is even close to the equivalent noise of 5db provided by rode NT1A For anyone having a home studio , this should be the cheapest mic to be placed. Any specification below this will disappoint you. Performance - This microphone is not flat. That means it adds a little bit of color to your voice or instrument. It is a very good microphone to record your voice or violin kind of instruments but I didn’t find good results with acoustic guitar. My guitar is quite an expensive one. I think tube mics will do a better job recording acoustic guitars. Product Unpacking- The DVD which comes along with it was missing but the microphone is working fine.

Excellent Microphone. Have done thorough research on the same with various studios here and found this mike as cost effective and with excellent warm voice capturing. Though this condenser has the lowest self noise Beware - This condenser is very sensitive and capture all small noise nearby. Therefore you would need a acoustically treated room for using this. Anyways I loved the voice quality and would recommend it to all. The condenser is made in Australia and of good quality but all other free accessories are made in china but of OK quality and quite heavy too.

All you need is a audio interface with 48v phatnom power supply to sound as your favourite artists. Pop filter is really cool and it's so much effective and the shock mount is of highest quality.

Definitely a quality microphone for recording studio quality vocals or to do voiceovers. If we compare price to the quality i may run out of words to describe how good this microphone is.

The mic I purchased was rode nt1a. This is a premium product but it failed to work after 2 months. No sound coming out of it. I tested it with other mic. It works but this does not work. Shame ... all my money 32,000 gone to drain.

Best Microphone for studio like recording But it is little heavy. Protect it from the moisture. It won't work until it'll become dry completely. It's not a cons of this product. It's only a suggestion for the buyers. Thank you!

Compré éste micrófono, pues es mi segundo NT1-A de la marca, nada más que el primero lo compré hace unos 4 o 5 años y sigue funcionando como nuevo. La calidad de estos micrófonos es muy buena. Me gusta que resalta bien los tonos de la voz, pues lo uso para voice-over, lo cual es muy importante para este tipo de uso. Lo ví a buen precio y pues lo adquirí para tener un repuesto, pero será usado también. Muy recomendable sin "romper el cochinito", pues lo conseguí a un precio justo.

I selected FREE shipping, and I live in Ontario. The product arrived from Delta, B.C. in two business days, which was very impressive on Amazon's fulfillment part. I am yet again pleased with the service speeds they provide. The product came in a classic Amazon-taped box, with brown packaging paper for protection of the product. It was very easy to open. The product packaging itself is very frustration-free, and is very organized. Safety foam inside keeps the cord and microphone individually held in place in a safe environment. The SM6 shock mount and pop filter were in a separate box within the main product box. I immediately noticed upon taking the XLR cord out of it's bag that it is quite long, which is very nice to have instead of buying one separately. The shock mount/pop filter are one piece, with many adjustments, and I am very appreciative to have these all come with the microphone as a bundle. I must say that the microphone is very high quality, even though it does not have much weight to it. You can notice the detail the Rode manufacturing puts in their products one by one. Setting up the microphone was easy as pie. It sounds absolutely beautiful, and for the price, it is SO worth it. Very very crisp vocals. Really can only imagine that you are getting less than ideal sound from it if you have no acoustic treatment, or are screaming into it with super high clipping-levels manually. I have not tested that though. Regardless, you can listen to any video on YouTube or any song recorded by the NT1A, and it is so much better than other ones in this price range in my opinion. I have used many microphones but this takes the cake. No doubt there will be somewhat better ones in the price range of a few thousand dollars, but if you don't have that budget, go for this. Any studio, whether a home, bedroom, or professional one needs this microphone. Especially at the price, you will get nothing like this. Muy bueno, lo amo

Two months ago I got the Rode NT1-A Condenser Cardioid Microphone Set, and while it is a bit on the pricey side, it’s absolutely worth every cent! The sound quality is nothing short of amazing – crystal clear, rich, and detailed. It really captures every nuance of my voice, making it perfect for studio recordings. Initially, I bought it with the idea of using it for live performances, and while it definitely delivers outstanding audio, I realized it’s more suited for studio environments. The cardioid pattern is great for reducing background noise, but the sensitivity makes it a bit challenging to manage in a live setting where noise control can be tricky. The build quality is excellent, and the included accessories – shock mount, pop filter, and XLR cable – are of high quality. It feels like a professional setup right out of the box. If you’re looking for a microphone that delivers professional-quality recordings, the Rode NT1-A is definitely the one to get. It’s especially ideal for studio vocals, podcasts, and acoustic instruments. For live performances, you might want to consider a dynamic mic instead, but as a studio workhorse, it’s unbeatable!
