Mostly good as long as you keep your expectations reasonable.
I saw several complaints about the sound quality, and "You'll need a soundbar or some kind of external speaker(s)", but that wasn't the case at all. The sound quality on this TV actually isn't bad at all. That was the only thing holding me back from purchasing it, so I didn't have very high hopes going in. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Not that it sounds right up there with the best or anything like that, because it doesn't and it isn't, but the average user shouldn't have any problem with the sound quality straight out of the box. The picture quality is equally as surprising. It's a 1080p TV, so don't expect mind blowing clarity, but for what it is and what it costs, it's really nice, and with all kinds of settings that I've never heard of. I actually did very little in the way of setting this thing up. I remember reading somewhere just a few days ago that Vizio TVs are factory preset to the taste of individual countries that they ship them to, and after reading that, it made sense to me why there was very little adjustment necessary. LOL I think I spent more time getting it out of the box than I did making adjustments. Setup was a breeze. It found my Wi-Fi immediately, I put my password in to get it connected, and inside of a few seconds, it was ready to go... or so I thought Naturally, the first thing it wanted to do was install a bunch of updates. Doesn't everything anymore? After downloading, installing, restarting, installing, restarting, installing, restarting, I was finally ready to do a channel scan. Yeah, I got cable TV out of my life over 20 years ago, and I haven't missed it one bit. The scan took three to four minutes and brought up like 48 channels. I'm still working on this input called Watch Free, and as near as I can tell, it's kind of a mix with your station presets and other select material probably based on those stations. In the 3+ weeks since delivery, I haven't experienced one flaw, lockup, random restart, random power down, glitch or hiccup out of it. There are a few little things about it that I'm not too thrilled about, namely the complete lack of RCA inputs, only two HDMI inputs, and when inputting channels on OTA TV using the number pad, it brings up an on-screen numberpad, but instead of intuitively hitting the center button, you have to use the arrow down to navigate to an area at the bottom of the on-screen keypad, and when you get to the correct tab, THEN hit the center button. Next, arguably the most used controls on the remote, the channel and volume keys... Why do they all now place those keys so low on the remote? Those keys are way down near the bottom to the point that you don't really have any room to hold onto the remote. The remote is also narrow, thin, short, and VERY slippery. Overall, I guess it's ok, but a universal remote is probably in my near future. As the title says, keep your expectations reasonable, and you shouldn't be disappointed. If you want a TV that performs like a $1000+ set, then go spend $1000 on a set, and you'll be just fine. As far as its current price tag of $138 is concerned, you're getting a LOT of TV for your money. EDIT: At almost two months in, I've been able to integrate it into my entertainment needs without much of any learning curve, and I'm still happy with my purchase.

Ehhh idk…
The best way to put everything I wanna say into a review is, I feel like I bought a refurbished TV!! there’s a lot of buffering, it exits out of my apps at least three times in the middle of the night, I have the most issues with Hulu, it lags, the picture quality goes in & out, & at times it can have a slow remote button respond. I purchased a movie on fandango. It will not play on this TV but the TV in my living room plays it. It says the video playback isn’t supported. So overall I give this 6.5/10 I really am curious to know if this is a possible refurbished TV

Awesome TV, great price!!
When shopping for a TV in the 40-to-42-inch range, you’re usually looking for a reliable secondary screen that doesn’t break the bank, and this Vizio model absolutely delivers on that front. The 1080p Full HD resolution is perfectly crisp at this screen size, providing excellent detail for streaming and gaming without the overkill of 4K on a smaller panel. Setup was incredibly fast, and the built-in SmartCast platform is surprisingly robust, offering all the major apps like Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu right out of the box. The inclusion of both Google Cast and Apple AirPlay 2 at this price point is a massive win, making it effortless to share content directly from a phone or laptop. Beyond the picture, the technical features really set this unit apart from other budget competitors. The Bluetooth headphone capability is a standout feature, allowing for private listening late at night without disturbing anyone else in the house. While built-in TV speakers are rarely amazing, the DTS Virtual:X provides a much more immersive and "room-filling" sound than I expected for a thin-profile LED. It’s also highly compatible with smart home setups, responding quickly to Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands for power and volume control. If you need a versatile, feature-rich TV that fits perfectly in a smaller space, this Vizio is easily the best bang for your buck on the market right now.

Great Picture Quality and Fantastic Sound Quality (after snooping thru Audio options)
Well, Vizio pulled a fast one on me. Last week I started receiving messages whenever I turned on my 9 year old 32" Vizio, that Netflix and other apps would no longer be supported. This means only satellite TV or old fashioned antennas would result in a picture. Since I cut the cable 2 years ago, this meant the perfectly working TV would be useless to me. I gave it to a friend who wanted it as a computer monitor. Because I have another Vizio and it gives me good sound and good picture for a reasonable price I decided to order this one. Set up was very simple. Adding streaming apps was fast and there are a LOT to chose from; both free and subscription. When I tuned it to a program, I thought the sound was kind of muffled and hard to hear without increasing the volume pretty high. So I went into the settings and under Audio there are 3 options for sound quality. Factory set up was the worst (muffled) option. I chose the option that produced clear, sharp annunciation without having high volume. Because of this, it's the best sound quality of any of my 3 current TVs. Picture is great and almost no lag time when changing programs or channels. I had no trouble with inserting the feet - screws and holes lined up perfectly. I am once again very happy with my Vizio TV. As each older TV bites the dust, each will be replaced with a Vizio.

Know what you need before buying.
Update: June 2025 - After spending 5 months with this TV, I have upgraded to 3-star. Reason being - after all of my findings below, which are all true, the picture quality this TV gives is really really good. Hopefully, you don't have some of the problems others have had with it, such as shutting off and resetting, etc. With a Roku 4k stick, and some patience, you can really tweak this TV moreso than other sets in this price range, and with the great picture it gives off after tweaking, I felt that I had to up it a star. I hope your results are positive as well. I am not a Vizio fan. I needed this TV because of its size (needed a 40-inch) and I needed a TV with bluetooth capability, and this one had that as well. Necessity. Both boxes checked, but that is where it ends. I did my research, and I read all of the reviews. Please read and believe the negative reviews as well as the positive ones. I have only had this TV for 2 days, mounted on my bedroom wall, and here are my findings.... Pros: -1080HD picture (when you can get it) - Lightweight TV (easy to mount, but the TV itself is all lightweight plastic, feels like a toy) - Bluetooth capable (one main reason I bought this one) - The price; for what you get, the price is incredible. Don't let it fool you, you get what you pay for. - Calibration tools; excellent calibration tools only found on more expensive TVs. - The picture quality itself (at 1080p) is quite good. Once tweaked, and with a good signal, the picture is very good. Cons: - Processor is SLOW. Other reviews say the same. This TV is slow when moving around in the apps. - Weak Wi-Fi. My house signal is excllent. The TV kept saying "weak network connection) and dropped signal constantly. Because of this, I only achieved 720p or 420p picture quality on some apps. - When you shut the TV off, it does not come back on all the time. I found myself having to unplug it and replug for it to come back. Read the other reviews on this. - You CANNOT add the Spectrum TV app to this TV. I bought it for this reason. To watch TV. Vizio does not allow the Spectrum TV installed on the set. Had I known this, would not have bought. The work around is below in my results comments. Results: - To work around the problems, I bought an Amazon Fire Stick HD (not 4K) and everything changed instantly, as I knew it would. Picture immediately went to 1080p, and all my favorite apps were pre-loaded. You are now stuck in the Amazon eco-system at this point, but I already am, so no big deal....EXCEPT > You CANNOT load the Spectrum TV app on a Firestick. Here we go again. So I'm at strike 2 at this point, about to wrap it up and return the set. There is a work around for this, trying to connect to Spectrum thru the Amazon Silk Internet browser, but that did not work either (watch the You Tube videos on this if you make it that far). Enter the hero > ROKU Express 4K streaming player. I had one lying around not being used so I hooked it up just to see what happened. Bingo !!! All of my apps were already installed on this player, and Spectrum TV app was pre-loaded already and worked like a charm. Should have thought of that earlier, but I wanted to stay in the Amazon Eco-system. I'll keep the TV - because of the work mounting it in my bedroom, the low cost, the pretty good picture now that I've figured it out. Please - before you buy this set, know what you want ....and know the limitations of this set. They are real, and it is true .....you get what you pay for.

Bien por el precio
Buena imagen y sonido por el precio. El SO aunque no es compatible en México es fluido y sin problema puedes abrir aplicaciones o incluso transmitir desde tu celular.
