Doesn't bridge without internet
It's does what it says and that's it. It's not a good thing that Phillips uses Zigby to connect to the internet. It means that you have no functionality without internet (can't be used standalone) and it's compulsorily wired to your router- again no functionality without internet or router

Excellent but Expensive Home Automation
Performance:Let me start by saying that this is an excellent hub. The product comes with a hub, a power adaptor, an ethernet cable and a manual. For set-up,- Plug-in the power adaptor to the hue bridge and then to the wall socket- Connect the WiFi router to the bridge using the included ethernet cable- Download the Philips hue app on the phone.- Follow the instruction on the app and press/hold the center button on the bridge to syncThe app synced with the bridge quickly and auto-discovered 3 out of my 5 light bulbs quickly. One of them was not discovered - so I had to drag a chair, climb up, note down the bulb serial numbers and manually enter that in the app to sync. I would recommend noting down the serial numbers first before plugging them in at hard-to-reach sockets because the app does not seem to auto-discover all lights.I got the hue bridge to sync with Alexa and Google Home, and both of them work perfectly. Almost no lags and perfect voice-control including changing colors and home scenes. Also, the auto switch off/on functionality works great – the bulbs switch off when I leave home and switches on when I come back (if I arrive after sunset).Expense:This item is expensive! Period. I got a gift of seven Philips color bulbs and I really wanted to try them. I had to purchase this hub as they will only work when synced with this.There are cheaper alternatives for smart home and many of them do not need a dedicated hub which means lesser total cost. If the intent is to try home automation, I recommend going with one of those and try voice-integration with Alexa/Google too. However, if you have the budget and want one of the best, consistent and trusted names in light automation, this is the right product. Finde gut das die Hue Bridge auch mit innr Lampen kompatibel ist, durch die Anzahl der Lampen musste ich mir jetzt ne Bridge kaufen...kann man nicht viel zu sagen funktioniert und meine innr Lampen funktionieren endlich auch mit Farbe das ging ohne Bridge nicht
