Easy to use 😍, less vibration on the body, well the sound is like a F35 jet 😂 when sanding inside a room which is quite awesome 🤣.

This is an excellent product. Reasons for choice: 1) Bought for home use, to smoothen crude furniture made out of recycled wood 2) Bought Bosch for quality. 3) Picked this model for: a. All sand papers can fit b. Reasonably priced c) light weight and easy grip Experience: 1) Delivered on time, well packed. 2) Effective and smooth sanding, powerful motor, easy and confortable grip, good corner reach (just sanded a log with termite damage and reached in crevices and crannies) 3) Lo noise when machine is put to wood. Din noticeably increases when not in contact, but quite manageable and not an issue. Area for improvement: 1) Only 1 sand paper came with the product 2) The warranty card did not carry seller's name/stamp - so not sure who is covering my product. Hence, 1 star less. Overall, happy with the purchase. Recommended.

Awesome product

Works very well. easily sands and makes smooth the required area. good power but still easy to hold and maintain grip and focus on the portion requiring sanding. However, the joint (held by screw) for one of the pins (that holds the sandpaper in place) broke away from the machine within 6 months of purchase. this was not expected. so since one of the pins alone is unable to hold the sandpaper, i removed that mechanism and fashioned a new base plate with velcro to hold stick-able sandpapers.

This is the perfect sander for finishing work. I have a sander attachment to my angular grinder and that works fine for initial sanding or cutting where I want to remove a lot of material. But at its high speed it is impossible to adjust fine details. This is perfectly ideal for finishing work which gives me fine finishing in very less time. It is ergonomic and easy to attach the standard sandpaper sheets cut into 4. Apart from very cheap sheets, it works fine with all the standard sheets available at my local hardware store. It does not tear off the sheets. One thing to note is that it does not have dust management, but that also means I do not have to make holes in the sheet every time. And at this managable speed the dust is not too much. I had a makita finishing sander like this with dust management and even with that the amount of dust generated is not much different. And the quality is at par with other reputed brands. It has taken out my earlier sanding by hand almost altogether.

GEX 125-1 AE is one of the best entry level random orbit sanders you can buy. I bought it in 2012 from a dealer for Rs.4500. With a price less than 4500, it is also one of the cheapest random orbit sander from a reputed manufacturer. It is lightweight (1.5 kg including dust filter and cord), very comfortable to hold, sturdy and fairly powerful. It has survived countless falls from my workbench in the past four years. 125mm Velcro sanding sheets are cheap (Rs20-30) and readily available in the market. It's dust collection system is quite effective. If you are sanding a flat surface it can collect most of the dust produced. But, I normally remove the dust filter cartridge and connect the sander directly to my vacuum cleaner. I mainly use it for sanding wood. I have once tried to polish my car with it. But polishing an entire car using a tiny 125mm polishing sponge is going to be really tiresome. Original Bosch spare parts and accessories for this sander are very expensive. I have changed the sanding pad twice for Rs. 800. Most of the dealers stock a small quantity of these slow moving items and reluctant to give a significant discount on the MRP.

A must have for DIY furniture enthusiasts and painters. Renovated old furniture, removed all old polish with ease. Machine was also used to sand the cement from laterite stones. Using Bosch GEX 125-1 AE Heavy Duty Electric Random Orbit Sander made the job simple, else it would have taken long long time and labour to sand. Hrs of usage, no issues. Recommend removing dust collector while sanding cement or stone, better use a mask, else the small dust collector will be full in no time. Dust collector works well with wood, 70% dust reduction I can say, while sanding vertically, all dust will not be collected. Found no drawbacks. Worth the money spent.
