Amazon Basics Nintendo Switch Carrying Case and Screen Protector Protection Kit

This kit is as it says, basic; there's nothing much here except the essentials. The case itself seems durable, it gives a little pocket on the inside for some small accessories, and the inside is soft (perfect for screens). The tempered glass screen protector they chose, as opposed to a plastic one, is a great addition to this kit. Overall, this is a great essentials kit with excellent pricing. However, one weird discrepancy I found was that in some of the customer images from 2017-ish there were straps on the inside of the case (to prevent the switch from shifting around too much during movement). Post 2017, the straps are completely absent. Not sure why they made that decision, but it would've been nice if they kept those in. ------ A little tip for people who don't normally apply screen protectors: -To clear dust/debris, try using alcohol wipes or lens cleaner (glasses, camera, whatever can be used on delicate objects), then drying it with a microfiber cloth. Inspect the surface of the switch again before applying the screen protector (repeat as needed.) -Align the long edge at an angle (edge with cutouts for the speakers/sensor) before gradually setting it horizontally on the screen. Make sure you don't bend the tempered glass, or else you might crack it.

Ok first off...bare in mind you are buying a less than $15 product. If you're looking for gold or diamond flecked...this isn't it. That being said let me start my review. Initially, I was looking for something to protect my almost $450 investment. Looking around I saw 2 packs of tempered glass screen protectors and thought to myself I need something a little more. Then I stumbled across this lil gem. Everything was packed with AMAZING CARE!!!! The case is very nice. Its not a hard case, but isn't super soft. I'm cool with that...that means I can drop it and NOT put a gawdy crack in it!! The grips are just a tad loose but not too overbearing. You cannot use the straps to hold the unit in place. But it still isn't going anywhere!!!! The screen protector USE THE HINGE METHOD (set the screen protector on with tape, create a "hinge." Peel off plastic from protector, set glass) These idiots talking about no way to remove bubbles...I had 1 down by a hinge...2 words...credit card. Came right out. All in all VERY happy with this product. It will do what its intended to do

It came exactly how the picture looks, however, my package was opened upon pickup from my office so I'm not sure if it was on my end or the deliverer's end. The case is sturdy and the perfect size. There is a sort of padding inside and the quality is great! The only thing that confused my husband and myself is that the screen protector didn't come with a cleaning cloth, which any person that has used a screen protector knows comes with the kit. Woulf buy again if we purchased a second nintendo switch.

Great little kit to get started with your Switch. The rubber joycon covers are probably the greatest product included in here, as it makes holding the joycons individually a heck of a lot more comfortable. The case does a good job at holding everything you'd need aside from the dock, but a small USB-C multiport adapter would fit and be perfect for on the go. The screen protector went on well and was easy to apply with no bubbles. Overall, this is a good kit for a pretty decent price. The Nintendo AND Insignia cases that look similar are in fact the same, so save some coin and grab this!

Every switch owner should invest in a case and a screen protector. Fortunately, this product has both of those with gel guards and a little cleaning cloth to get you started with taking care of your console! The hard shell case is a much better option than a soft sided one and looks completely inconspicuous as it doesn’t flaunt the fact that there’s a Nintendo Switch inside. The screen protector was a super easy installation, went on perfectly the first attempt! The gel guards fit snug which is always a nice plus.

I want to like it because it’s super affordable and it has accessories. I just truly hate the straps on the case. It makes it so annoying to take the switch out of the case. Also it doesn’t have grooves for the switch joycond like the official Nintendo case does. It makes a difference. It’s so difficult to take it out the case that I have to take off two stars. If you don’t care about how annoying it is to take out and put in, I would still recommend it. It does it’s purpose and it is actually high quality. Also the glass protector is awesome and the joy con grips are great.

Perfect for my switch. I took this to my trip to Florida and it was SUPER useful. The joycon grips are make the joycon very comfortable even if you are using them as two separate controllers. The extra pocket is useful to carry an extra charger or a HDMI cable. The extra cartridge slots make carrying the games very easy because you don't have to bring the case to every single game you own. The screan protector is kinda needed if you don't want to scratch the switch screen when you are putting it on the doc. The case is not a hard case but it is very safe, so if you accidentally drop your switch you don't have to worry about it being broken. I have had this for about 8 months and I love it. I recommend this to everyone that is looking for a small traveling case for their switch.

I thought I could trust the very company I order from. This case did not have straps, so the switch would rattle around on the inside. Since there were no indents for the bumpers on the back of the joy cons to slot into there was constant pressure being put on the middle of the switch. The only way to make the switch not rattle around was to fill the pocket which 1 Put more pressure on the middle of the switch and 2 fell out whenever you opened the case since the pocket does not have a zipper or velcro. The grips for the joy cons cover the bumpers and make the release button harder to press, plus they slide around and aren't shaped well. And finally the screen protector ruins any chance you have of returning the item since you can't return a used screen protector, and it has really weak adhesive. The only thing that saves this thing is the relatively low cost, but why would you pay 20$ to bend your switch? This product is advertised with straps that it does not have. It is untrustworthy and simply cheaply designed. Wish I could give 0 stars.
