i ordered a 50ft and 100ft roll of 1/2" hyd hose, and also two wire crimp fittings and there is a difference between those made of single wire as opposed to double wire which is larger od got the hose and fittings only to find that the 90 degree fittings could be forced together on the hose with a 3lb hammer and lots of time... crimped fine after that... the straight fittings no way they would go on, the id is right at 1/2" as advertized but the od is a bit over 7/8" where standard hose is a bit over 13/16" od ! try as i might all i could do was end up peeling the outer jacket and damaging the hose. a real shame as this hose looks to be of really good quality, as does the fittings sold here on amazon, the final fix was to shave down th outer jacket with a sharp knife being careful not to go through to the steel wire, and then with soap getting the two to mate so i could then put in the hyd crimper vevor needs to either change its supplier or supply the fittings that mate with this hose. i have purchased about a dozen or more tools from vevor and all have been very good to excellent, however this one while not being an epic failure is nearly so. had i not been able to shave the outer jacket enough to use common crimp on ends made for 1/2" hose and use these i would have given this product a single star... 2 stars only because i like the hyd crimper and all the other fine products that i have purchased from vevor. so beware, and understand that this hose will not accept commonly available crimp fittings and i am not sure where to get fitting that will work with this product, so unless one is willing to take the extra time to carefully shave the outer jacket maybe this is a hard pass and look for another product and save the time invested to make this stuff work as it should in the first place.
