Cuisinart PrepExpress™ Vegetable & Fruit Box Chopper

This item works wonderfully. So easy to use and clean and especially great for chopping onions. Everything is chopped so nice and evenly and you have two choices extra fine or like a regular dice. I bought some for gifts for my children.

I had a different brand of chopper, and it was fine but the top hinge broke. I was looking for something a bit more substantial. I decided to try the Cuisinart based on the reviews. I got it and so far I am very pleased with it. I like to cook and spend a fair amount of time in the kitchen but I don't like to use a knife to do chopping. I use my chopper for onions and other things (celery, peppers etc) so it gets a work out. Blades are sharp (be careful) So far so good!

Absolutely my favorite kitchen gadget. It makes chopping so fast and easy. The blades are very sharp and easy to cut your fingers if not careful.

Well worth it, chops onions, potatoes, carrots etc with ease. We use it almost daily and really like it. Good quality, choice of two sizes.

I bought this vegetable chopper in November last year, and I am extremely disappointed with the quality. As you can see in the photos, the metal blades are now bent, warped, and even broken. This happened during normal use cutting onions — nothing hard or unusual. Because of this, the chopper is no longer usable and feels unsafe. This product is clearly made with very low-quality metal. The blades should NOT deform like this in less than a year of normal kitchen use. I expected this to last much longer, especially since it’s designed specifically for chopping vegetables like onions. Now it’s basically useless and a waste of money. I do NOT recommend this product.

Easy to use. The blades are no joke…keep fingers AWAY! But cleaning is labor intensive; even with the cleaning tool that is provided I spent over 5 minutes picking out lettuce between the grid. But the salad looks pretty and I like the taste texture better than a regular cut salad. I don’t regret the purchase and I don’t think $28 is an unreasonable price.

This chopper is a real time and energy saver. For those who enjoy preparing from scratch soups, stews, casseroles, etc. this is a game changer, saving the cook time and energy. Great for those who struggle with using a knife and gives much more consistent pieces than a blender. I appreciate how easy it is to use and that it is upper shelf dishwasher safe for easy clean-up.

Great quality. I like that the lid is slanted. Makes it much easier to close lid and chop up food.

Took me a while to find the right thing for cubing vegetables, and thank goodness finally found this. It is amazing! Works so beautifully, I can cube veggies in 10 minutes that would take me 2 hours to cut up with a knife. It's well made, nice design, looks and feels like a quality product, super easy to use and to clean, and pretty safe because although the blades are sharp, they are well-protected by the design. You absolutely will not regret buying this.

I quite liked the chopper when I first started using it. The chopping grids are sharp (cut your finger sharp) and using the chopper is fairly intuitive. However, after just over a month I see the clear container base has started to crack around the centre. I would expect this kind of wear many months or a year or two down the line. And for the price, comparing this chopper to similar models, it would be nice if it came with more than two chopping grids. All in all, this chopper does what it needs to do just probably won't do it for as long as expected.
