Perfect for Hotspot and Navigation
I used this SIM almost exclusively for mobile hotspot functionality and constant navigation, and it handled the load easily. The connection was stable enough to support a laptop and two phones simultaneously without significant slowdowns. It's a hassle-free, prepaid solution. My only minor advice would be to confirm which network (AT&T or T-Mobile) offers the best coverage in your specific destination area beforehand, but the dual compatibility helps mitigate most risks. A solid, reliable purchase for US data needs.

Worked for atoto android car stereo
I got this as an experiment to see if I could get a data connection on my atoto head unit that would not work with AT&T, my normal carrier. After some prodding, it worked. My stereo showed 4g connection to t-mobile and I could use the stereo as a wifi hotspot. It didn't work until I bought a plan on the talksim site. Not sure why. I thought it came with a plan. Maybe I'm just impatient. I kept getting "Edge" network instead of 4G on the device. Then, I spent $10 on one of the plans on the site and it magically started working. It's a low overhead cellular reseller. The card says "4G LET" (not LTE), the instructions are bad english, and the site is lackluster at best. But it did give me a data connection eventually.

mobile hotspot not working
Bought this card for my college student daughter to use as a mobile hotspot in her apartment since the WiFi speed there is not stable. When inserted into her phone the mobile hotspot function does not work but popped up a customer phone number to request me to call. After calling the number the service person told me they are in Malaysia and does not handle issues happened in US. He did not provide me a US customer service number to call. I returned the card through Amazon since the expected function does not work and there is no customer service to help me fix the problem. Later my phone service company charged me about $50 for this Malaysia customer service call. Not a pleasant service.

I'm a 1st time sim card user/installer ...
I haven't been able to get my phone to work or make calls so I don't see the process as that intuitive for the novice... You can't beat the price though ... Even YouTube videos hasn't helped. Despite my tech ability the light hasn't come on so far... I noticed my ATT rep wasn't that facile either when installing cards on phone that wasn't popular... Couldn't help me ... Indigi 4 is unit I'm trying to set up... I love the phone though.. I use it for internet for now but want to be able to make and receive calls...
