Is the erythritol from corn starch? if so, it has same problems as other sugar substitutes.

The carbs are from Erythtitol, so they really don't count. Don't trust the other answers. The net carbs is ZERO, because it's from the Erythritol. What I don't like is that the pictures show it as 1/2 tsp serving, which is misleading. Most sweeteners in this type of container was 4:1 sweetness, not 2:1 sweetness. I hope this helps.

Question 2

I am so confused. I read it contains fructose but I cannot find this listed anywhere.  Which jars/packets contain fructose and where is it listed?

The three ingredients listed on the jar are erythritol (sugar alcohol). Stevia extract, and monk fruit extract.  The stevia extract is from the leaves of the stevia plant.

According to the  Healthline  Newsletter, "Monk fruit sweetener is created by removing the seeds and skin of the fruit, crushing it and collecting the juice, which is then dried and turned into a concentrated powder.

Monk fruit contains natural sugars, mainly fructose and glucose.

However, unlike most fruits, the natural sugars in monk fruit are not the main compounds responsible for its sweetness.

Monk fruit extract actually gets its intense sweetness from unique antioxidants called mogrosides.

During processing, mogrosides are separated from the fresh-pressed juice of the monk fruit. Therefore, monk fruit sweetener does not contain fructose or glucose."

Question 3

Sticker shock! is this truely the price for 9 oz.? That is $1.93 an oz. What is the justification for such a high cost.

The price is only for 1 jar. I've ordered twice and only ever gotten 1 jar.  It used to be  a little over 6$. Don't understand the double price jump either . it price gouging that Amazon is now permitting

i found this in the local stare at around $6. why so expensive here? am I missing something?

Because there are 2 maybe? If each was $6, you are up to $12, the extra dollar and change for the convenience of delivering it to your door is my guess.
