Let me first explain my reason for even trying these CD's..............................I suffer with Tinnitus and therefore do not like to be in a completely silent house. I also have hearing difficulties, as I only hear middle register sounds, neither high frequency nor low frequency sounds register in my ears. ....I know! I sound like a poor old crone who's falling apart!! I can honestly assure you that this is not true, I have always had these problems since I was a child but they do get worse as I age. Music is my natural standby to create a background sound and block out the Tinnitus, but sometimes even that can grate on my eardrums and irritate my mind. While communicating with the gentleman who sells these CD's, I wondered if perhaps my favourite sounds of weather and / or water would help me. He very generously recommended two discs in return for my writing an honest, unbiased and perhaps informative review. I simply cannot tell you how grateful I am for this recommendation!! The discs arrived yesterday in my mail and I played each of them in the evening while I read a great book. The utter feeling of relaxation was instant and amazing ! No sharp, ear-shattering sounds, no discordant notes to irritate, simply wonderful sounds of Ma Nature soothing my mind and my soul ! I understand that some people listen to them to induce sleep, I can well understand that this may be the case with this particular group of sounds as they may induce such sheer relaxation and therefore ultimately, sleep, for many. I found that while listening to the beautiful sounds of the ocean I was immediately transported back to the beach on my Greek Island summer vacation lying on a sunbed in total relaxation. With the sounds of a stream, I was once more in the garden of an old home in Canada which had a stream running through it. While reading, I was so relaxed that the 'Rushing River' track suddenly made itself clear in my mind and I almost jumped up to see if I had left a tap turned on !! Once my brain realised that was not the case, the sound simply soothed me again and I was transported back to a river bank in a field, relaxing ! I will forever be grateful to Alan from 'Here to Listen' for this wonderful relief from hearing stress and the calm that this CD has brought into my life. I have been listening to the two discs again this morning as I worked and they have completely soothed my mind, keeping me relaxed and negating the noise of my Tinnitus too. This particular disc is playing as I type and the sensual, calming effect is simply euphoric! I can highly recommend this CD and if you suffer from any problems such as mine, I urge you to purchase this wonderful disc to improve your life. You will not regret it and will bless the day that you read this review, I promise ! I hope that I have given Alan the type of feedback that he will be happy with this time, (my last one was a little negative due to my hearing problems) I simply cannot sing the praises of this beautiful collection, any higher. ( Just be grateful that you can't hear me actually singing as that would shatter the peace of mind brought about by this CD! lol ) I have been totally honest and unbiased and I hope my opinion has been helpful to others in making the decision to purchase this amazing CD.

Bought for my treatment room this is a lovely CD. I use it particularly during Reiki treatments as it is so relaxing for my clients.

Bit disappointing

This is a superb quality recording. When played on a hi-fi system, I could almost imagine being there. Track 1 Shoreline Waves. This is a very tranquil and comforting track it reminds me of being on a deserted Northumberland beach early in the morning or in the evening after all the day visitors have left. Nothing but the sound of gently breaking waves and the odd occasional bird in the distance. A perfect track to unwind and relax. Track 2 Ocean Waves. This reminds me of Atlantic “rollers” crashing against the beaches of Cornwall and unleashing the energy gained over a 3000 mile journey across the Atlantic. The sea sounds raw and wild but not threatening, I suppose sublime would be the best description. This is an uplifting track that demonstrates the power of nature to change your mood (for the better). Track 3 Running Stream. The sound of a fast flowing fell or mountain stream. I could imagine this stream or burn being small enough to stride across. It conjures up a perfect spot to take a rest break during a hike or better still a place to take off your boots and wash your feet in the fast flowing ice cold water. Track 4 Rushing River To be honest I found this quite unnerving. This is a very powerful body of water and in reality the sort of thing I would give a wide birth in the real world. I can visualise whole trees being swept along and at any moment a section of the bank giving way and collapsing into the wild waters. The only time I have experienced such a sound was in the Scottish Borders when the River Teviot was in flood conditions a few miles from Jedburgh.

Received cd looked forward to playing it and nothing happened. I received a blank cd.

Is a lovely CD but wasnt what I expected.

J'adore, exactement ce que je cherchais : le son de l'eau et C'EST TOUT. 0 synthé ! 👍👍👍 0 musique ! 👍 J'ai un endormissement compliqué, la mélatonine complémentaire ne m'a jamais aidée... MAIS CE CD !!! Top ! Les pistes sont : vaguelettes/vagues/doux ruissellement/rivière. Le tout pour exactement 77.54 minutes 😀 Je vous le recommande, vraiment contente de cet achat.
