Fragile but fun
It’s fragile but fun. I like that the waa waa sound is loud enough to be affective and amusing. Great gag gift. Just be careful with it.

Perfect gift
My father-in-law and I give each other miniature gag gifts. I got him the world’s smallest violin last year (totally recommend). This year he got the sad trombone. Hilarious. Everyone wanted to play with it (adults). Great buy, it sounds exactly like you think it does.

Pull clear plastic battery barrier
Fragile but fun. Open battery compartment. They've placed a small clear plastic barrier between battery and poles to prevent battery being drained. It's hard to see, the trombones charge is good.

Hilarious toy!
Sad trombone was definitely worth buying! It is a hit with all my coworkers. Hopefully the battery will last long before I have to replace. Hilarious!

I actually love this trombone! It's hilarious! I use it at home and my classroom! In class, every so often (usually when I myself have a silly complaint) we play "womp womp whiny baby" and whoever wants to share a silly complaint gets to share, and then the trombone does its magic. Same thing at home. It actually makes the small complaints funny instead of a reason to mess up our days, for those of us who sometimes have difficulty seeing the bright side on a crummy day. The kids and my whole family get a kick out of it! I didn't use the book or anything, but it's cute too. The trombone has so far lasted me all school year, and I do let the kids hold it when it's their turn for a womp womp, and they're not always super careful
