This product arrived in a timely manner. It is my first time using a remote for my camera shutter, but having Pentax camera bodies, it works as intended on both bodies. It is small and, I imagine could be lost fairly easy if one is not careful. However, after installing the included 2032 coin battery and putting the camera in the proper shooting mode, it worked as it should. Haven't tested the range beyond a few feet yet, but I can see where it would be preferable to a group shot rather than using a timed shutter and running to get in place. The price was great compared to similar remotes in this category. I would definitely recommend and purchase again should the time arise.

I got this to assist with product photography. It really makes life a lot simpler when doing overhead shots. It works flawlessly with my K-5 IIs and my K-1 II bodies. I've been using it the last few months and have had no drama. Definitely recommend if you're after remote shutter release functionality. I can't review the other modes it's supposed to support because I don't need them and never tested them. The price is also nice.

This shutter release works. The advertised auto focus works, but the shutter cannot be released when the auto focus switch is set. The switch must be moved to the shutter position to release the shutter. For the price, that's OK. I'll just use it as a shutter release.

Tried it right away and it worked. Two weeks later was preparing for a trip and it didn't work. The thing produced some IR beam as seen through phone camera but Pentax K-70 didn't respond. Checked with my old remote and it worked.

Worked as expected. Triggered my DSLR camera about 10 feet away. Half pressed, it focused. Full press, it took the picture (I used the LCD view with facial recognition feature) This is an infrared remote. It must have a no obstacle between the remote and the camera. However I found it very helpful because I only need to carry one unit (instead of one receiver and one trigger as the radio version). This remote is awesome for travellers who want to take selfie (usually not more than 5 feet away from the camera) by the high quality DSLR (or mirrorless) camera. Note: Must turn on the "Shooting by remote feature on your camera". Not all cameras have this feature.

The shutter release works, once you wade through the needlessly complicated detail in the instructions. However, the zoom function doesn't work (not in any DSLR cameras, it says), and remote video recording "only works with Pentax cameras that have video recording function and infrared receiver at the same time," whatever that means. I have both, but remote video doesn't work. Great features promised, but the fine print says otherwise. Start with 5 stars since the device works well for single shots, but minus one since zoom and video aren't supported after all, and minus 1 more for the poorly written instructions.

Works perfectly as remote shutter with the above mentioned cameras - and likely most other Pentax cameras. The zoom function will not work except some older Pentax lenses (and cameras?) - but who cares? I at first could get it to work with Bulb (keeping the button on the remote pressed did not keep shutter open) - BUT there is a setting on the cameras where first press starts exposure, and second stops the exposure - so that did the trick. Extra points for ability to replace battery. Just bought a second one - they are small so easy to use :-)
