Prefer to Win systems
This is much preferred to a win system. Especially with an older system.

Not worth it!
The distributions can be obtained for free online. None were suitable. I found a much more suitable distribution for free online. I thought I would save some time but now I have a $5 8GB stick. I did not even attempt to return it. Just not worth the trouble.

Would not boot.
Would not boot. Windows 10 detected a drive error. I emailed after replacement would not boot either. Email was sent at 8 pm, answered by 8 am, with a link to a generic help page. I turned CSM on & now it boots fine.

does not work on Mac.
tried booting of the usb stick on 2015 MacBook Pro - but it does not even show up as an option after holding Option key to reach the boot manager. Thus, this is useless to me.

Did the job, eventually
The OS's on the usb were installed in Fat32. Made for VERY SLOW install. But it did work. Thankful for that. I recommend ext4 for best results for linux customers, NTFS for Windows users.
