What is the density (gsm) of amazonbasic copy paper?

Don't know the density, but it's nice substantial paper. Not thin.

Is this paper good for drawing?

No, I would not recomend it for drawing, it doesn't have much of a "tooth." It is used more for making copies but I wouldn't recommend it for that either as many pages in my ream had bent corners. I think the discription did say it is "used" now I understand why.

Is this just as good as the HP paper?

I was surprised at how good the paper is. It is very bright white and does not look or feel like a “value” product at all.
