High quality, well built, perfectly balanced and robust for a good price
I order a lot of items off Amazon but rarely take the time to provide a review. In this case, I am making an exception as I am very impressed with the quality of this Kukri from Condor. I own a tree farm and use cutting blades on a weekly basis. I was looking for a blade that was heavier than the general Kukris or machetes / woodsman tools in the market. This Kukri has good weight, strong carbon steel and a comfortable and appropriate sized mikarta handle with a heavy duty flat butt on the handle which you could hammer nails with (although obviously not the intended use) if needed. It comes with a form fitting kydex sheath which perfectly fits and protects the blade and enables the user to carry it on their belt. It can easily and quickly be removed from the sheath, contrary to other reviews I've read about this product. The extra weight and carbon steel (which holds a sharp edge) enables it to slice through wood like a hot knife through butter. I'm thrilled with the quality of this Kukri and feel like it was worth every penny. You won't be disappointed with it.

A true do it all knife, arguably perfect
This kukuri by condor has a unique style and size which (I believe) makes it the most balanced and functional knife for under $150. There are sharper knives out of the box (yes), there are knives built with better steel (yes), there are prettier knives (yes), there are cheaper “beater” knives (yes) I own those too. Of all my knives, blades, hatchets, axes… if I could only grab ONE (if it really mattered) for wilderness/selfdefense/hunting/camping/emergency/WWZ… this one condor kukuri is it. It may sound like I’m over exaggerating but this knife functions better and safer than a hatchet, it will do anything in the kitchen (even fillet a fish) and then right to whittling by the fire better than a razor sharp pocket knife. I have one critique that could make it 100% perfect (my opinion), a handle that incorporated anything to ensure the users hand couldn’t slide up or forward onto the blade. I’ve own this knife for 10 months now, never cleaned it, probably split a half cord of kindling, absolutely hammered on it and still holds it’s factory edge… I changed up the sheath to carry it horizontally (the handle sits at 2 o’clock and the blade curves down to 7/8 o’clock) and straps to the left side of my belt buckle in order to draw with right hand. This is still comfortable when sitting in a chair, walking and hiking, while allowing easier and quicker drawing & sheathing because of the blade shape.

Awesome knife, well worth the price.
Just holding this knife you can feel the power and weight of it coursing through your veins, it really is a beast. Took this out camping last weekend and it held up in every way I had wanted. Used it for batoning and had absolutely no issues at all chopping right through the wood, it was almost too easy. I saw a video where someone was batoning on the handle and the dual micarta scales started splitting apart, but I've had no issues with mine and I don't foresee that happening in the future. Speaking of handles, it is probably one of my favorite parts of the knife. It is lovely to hold, curves under just perfectly, and looks amazing. The sheathe is ok as far as kydex ones go. My only complaint is the leather straps on the back were splitting apart before I even used it. I am going to address this with Condor and hopefully they will send a replacement sheathe. After beating up on this knife all weekend, it really doesn't even look the least bit worn. This knife is definitely made to do work, and it does so with flying colors. If you can find this knife in stock at a reasonable price, buy it. You will really love it.

This kukri chops and can bushcraft
This kukri was able to chop wood with very little effort, and weeds as well, i also was able to carve and do feathersticks with, it is very well balanced, the micarta feels great, and with the grip it wont leave your hand after a lot of chopping the size is great, overall a must have.

A good knife, but a long way from perfect.
This is a good strong knife, but could be better. Much better. The materials are first rate, but the finish could use some help. The "satin" finish on the blade looks like it was ground out with a 200 grit belt and left as-is. It's very rough. ( A satin finish is usually done with 300 to 400 grit. ) And that black crap on the top quarter of the blade and the pommel is completely unnecessary. The knife would be better without it. I also don't think the blade needs to be as thick as it is. About 3 - 3 1/2 mm would be plenty. The sheath is okay, and can be converted to horizontal/scout carry simply by removing the drop loop. My 1 - 1/2 inch wide belt works just fine with it. As many have mentioned, the knife came dull. We're talking a blister-rubbing edge here. No big deal to someone who can sharpen a blade, but for anybody looking for sharp right out of the box... this knife isn't for you. So as I've said, it's a good strong knife. The 1075 steel is tough, holds a good edge, and is easy to sharpen. The linen micarta grip is well-shaped and not slick or slippery. So in general I like the thing. But only because I can and will correct most of its flaws. It will probably become one of my favorite knives, once I'm done working on it. But right this minute, it's just so-so.

Superb, quality kukri!
Absolutely fantastic kukri! Excellent balance and weight. Quality is top notch. Grind from the factory was very good on mine, but I'll touch it up a bit to my liking. I found the leather retainment strap was a bit too short and didn't allow the snap to fully seat. I lengthened the leather retainment strap just a bit with some wet fitting/stretching and this fixed the issue with the snap. It allowed the snap to fully seat so it is more secure on closure. This provides more retainment, so it doesn't open too easily as others have reported as well. I am elated with this knife. I'll give it nice apple cider vinegar patina, touch up the edge just a little, and then it will be perfect! This kukri will not disappoint, just buy the darn thing!

Quality really shows
Ok, so… I’m going to start by saying I just received this a day ago.. the weight is perfect. There’s not a lot of detail into presentation. It’s been assembled, sharpened and packaged. That’s how you’ll get it. The factory edge is perfectly usable out of the box’. Balance is as you would expect from a kukri. Just barely front heavy. Blade thickness is damn near 1/4”. Handle is synthetic and should hold up well. The case well, it works.. I’m not big on kydex and would prefer leather. Overall, this blade is going to work very well in the bush. IF anything changes during its use over the next 6 months, I will update.

Like the knife, some issues with the sheath.
I waited for this knife to come back and jumped on it. It is nice. As other reviews may state, the knife does have a large handle but is fine and I have med to large hands. Now, the knife I got was in a white box with the knife inside loose moving wrapped in plastic. The knife itself still looks great but the kidex sheath looks used. It has a very non uniformed look as if it has scratches or the kidex has been melted in place. One of the screws is not coated as the others and looks to be a replacement. Honestly, gut feeling is that it is a refurbished used sheath. With that, I inspected the sheath more and the leather on it seems to be new as does the knife as there are no burrs, bends, or scratches. With that, another common complaint is the dullness. Yes, it is dull to the point it does not even think about cutting paper. I am still rating the knife. Shipping was slow, not sure if it’s a refurb, but I grade/rate the product. As such, this is a substantial tool and as such is a five star. Update : I’m sure that this is refurbed unless condor knives, selling an upgraded version of their original heavy duty at 50 dollars difference, has no quality control. The sheath, which is one of three reasons why I spent the money on this, does not buckle and secure all the way. The bottom snatch/buckle/button is worthless as it does not work. Similar screw as the one pictured. Still like the knife but seriously if I knew the sheath was like the way it is, I would have purchased the original. Update 2: Contacted condor and they responded within one business day. After sending pics of the sheath they have sent the info to quality and will send a replacement sheath. As they are from El Salvador I do not expect shipping fast but the customer service seems very legit and that is most def a plus. Will update and add stars dependent on the product that I know comes straight from the factory.

Best Kukri to buy
The steel isn't the best but the heat treatment is fantastic. Holds an edge better than other knives with better steels. Handle is comfortable and durable. Sheath is also fantastic and comfortable to wear.

Great knife
Solid and well-made, this is a good overall camping knife. Made short work of smaller branches and did a decent job batoning. And if you're worried about zombies, ninjas and pirates, well this should handle them just as nicely.
